Foodies are excited after discovering McDonald’s Australia has quietly relaunched a menu item after a three-year hiatus.
The fast food giant has brought back Ham and Cheese Pockets, but only for a limited time at select restaurants.
Madi Murphy, from New South Wales, rushed to her local Macca’s to order the delicious $2.50 treat and added a hash brown, her favorite combination that she craved.
‘Ordering my favorite McDonald’s dish after having it taken off the menu for years. It’s the little things,” she captioned a viral video of her ordering the snack and devouring it in the parking lot.
Madi waited six years to get her hands on the deal, but it was last available at select restaurants in 2021.
‘My God, I’m going to cry. It seems really disappointing, but I promise… you have to wash it down with a hash brown. It’s been six years… or something like that,” Madi said before taking a bite.
This tasty melted sandwich is made with ham and Aussie Jack cheese wrapped in a soft, warm tortilla and is available from 4am to 11:30am daily.
Since then, Madi’s video has been viewed more than half a million times and shoppers were instantly excited.

‘Sorry what? Since when have they been back? added a third.
Another person wrote: ‘Life is complete because Macca’s ham and cheese pouches are back.’
Some fans complained that the pockets are not available in their state.
A McDonald’s Australia spokesperson confirmed to FEMAIL that the snack was last available three years ago.
“Macca’s is pleased to have brought back one of its most popular Breakfast Value offerings for a limited time only: the Ham & Cheese Pocket,” the spokesperson said.
“The Ham & Cheese Pocket has relaunched after last appearing on our menu in 2021 and is available from 4am to 11:30am at participating Macca’s restaurants nationwide via kiosks, counter and drive-thru, as well like on the MyMacca’s and McDelivery app.”
