Not only does McDonald’s have their $5 meal deal this summer, they also have a fries deal.

On Thursday, it confirmed that customers can get four items (either a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, fries, soda and four McNuggets) for $5 starting Tuesday (June 25).

Bosses said they would also bring back ‘Chips Friday’ for apps only. This app-only deal offers free medium fries with any $1 minimum purchase through the end of 2024.

Additionally, there will also be some deals and discounts, also in-app only, in certain local areas.

These include Buy One Get One Breakfast Sandwiches for $1 in Memphis, Tennessee, a Double Cheeseburger and Fries for $3.50 in Columbus, Ohio, or a McChicken and McDouble Mixed Deal for $3.99 in parts of the state from New York.

“We heard our fans loud and clear: They’re looking for even greater value from us, and this summer that’s exactly what they’ll get,” said Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA.

It was thought that not all restaurants would offer the deal, and those with higher labor and rent costs would opt out.

But it has now been discovered that McDonald’s has a sneaky way around this, by charging $6 at certain restaurants in Alaska, California, guam, Hawaii, SnowfallManhattan in New York and Washington.

Some fans are also disappointed that the deal only lasts a month instead of the entire summer, like their rivals’ deals.

“We are committed to winning the war of value,” said Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s in the United States, in an interview with Bloomberg News Thursday.

McDonald’s is desperately trying to combat the perception that it has raised prices so much that it no longer offers value for money.
