Mayim Bialik shared what she knows about the upcoming spin-off of The Big Bang Theory being developed for the newly rebranded Max platform.

The 47-year-old actress portrays neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler on the CBS sitcom and was asked if she would be in on Saturday while attending the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center gala.

“If you are, I don’t know,” Bialik said. H! News. You received the news like everyone else. We’re still very close, so there was a lot of texting. I asked my agent. He was like, “I don’t know.” I guess no one knows at this point, but I can’t wait to find out.

Bialik said she was about to appear as a guest on the show.

“I would do anything about anything like that,” she said. But yeah, we really have no idea. So I’m in the same boat as everyone else.

Bialik said she had “no idea” what she’d like to see in the spin-off while also admitting she’s been thinking about it.

“My kids are like, ‘Okay, Mama, you have to know,’ and I said I really don’t. I loved all of our characters. And we have so many amazing personalities. So I was like, it could be anything. It could be literally anything,” she added.

It was reported earlier this month by diverse Series creator Chuck Lorre, 70, was in the early stages of developing a new series based on the CBS sitcom that aired from 2007 to 2019.

The new series will air on Max, the newly renamed platform that brings together streaming services HBOMax and Discovery+.

No plot details have been revealed yet, but it’s believed to be an hour-long series with new characters and stars from The Big Bang Theory appearing in guest spots.

The Big Bang Theory starred Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and Kaley Cuoco and was one of the highest rated shows on CBS.

It previously spawned the spin-off series Young Sheldon based on the character of Sheldon Cooper portrayed by Parsons, 50.

Season 6 of Young Sheldon premiered last September and the season finale is set to air May 18.

CBS renewed the series in March 2021 for a fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons.

Since 2021 Bialik has been the host of Jeopardy! , which is one of the longest-running game shows of all time.

The UCLA graduate has two children with her ex-husband, Michael Stone.
