It comes after MailOnline revealed that Maya and Stormzy had split following disagreements over when to start a family.
The ITV2 star and BRIT Award winner announced they had “recently decided to separate” with a joint statement on Instagram.
Sources told MailOnline the couple had clashed over their lifestyles, with Stormzy being more of a homebody.
Maya, who is at the top of her game as the face of luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana, an ambassador for Rimmel London and is being sought after by streaming giant Netflix, is focused on her career at the moment.
A source close to the couple revealed: ‘Maya and Stormzy are on very different pages when it comes to their future.
‘Stormzy was eager to establish himself, while Maya is enjoying her career, is ambitious and wants to prioritise achieving as much as she can.

‘She also loves to travel and party, but at just 29 she’s not ready for the next chapter yet.’
This comes after Maya and Stormzy made separate appearances at Wimbledon last week, with the rapper attending Evian’s Mountain of Youth VIP suite alone.
Meanwhile, Maya partied until the early hours of the morning at celebrity hangout Chiltern Firehouse.
They were last seen together holding hands on July 5 at the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, where Stormzy put in a standout performance.
Sharing a statement announcing their split, the couple wrote: ‘We’ve been laughing as we write this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we would be the couple to announce a breakup.
‘But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace we need so that we can both navigate this next part of our lives with peace, we thought it would be best.
‘We fell madly in love in 2014, split in 2019, and then spent five years living apart.
‘We decided to give it one last try in August 2023, and we’ve spent the past year doing everything we can to make it work; however, we recently decided to call it quits.
‘We were 21 and 20 when we met, both at the beginning of our careers, and we spent five years growing together and then five years growing separately, so this final attempt required a lot of discovery, relearning and unlearning.
‘We tried it and it didn’t work and that’s okay.
‘We still think the best of each other, we still care for and respect each other, we’re still grateful for the time we’ve spent together, and we’re still friends and will always be friends (so if you see us catching up at The Brits or something, don’t cause a fuss – we’re friends!)
‘We are kindly asking for the grace to allow us both to continue with this and not be upset about it (we highly doubt this will work, but we are asking kindly anyway).’
“We love you guys and thank you for all the love you’ve given us. It’s been beautiful,” they concluded the post, before signing off, “Mike and MJ.”

When the couple split in 2019, the rapper publicly stated that he had “never loved anyone like I’ve loved her” and fans professed that they had always hoped the pair would rekindle their love.
Maya has spoken in the past about how the couple began their romance and the fact that ‘no one cared’ so they didn’t feel like a celebrity couple.
She said: ‘I never felt like a celebrity couple. Everyone else did. We just had a normal relationship. And then everyone talked about it.
‘We met when we were in our early 20s, before anyone cared about us. So it was a normal relationship then. Basically, I always said it was like a normal relationship, but people wanted to look at it more and talk about it more.’
The couple first went public with their romance in 2016 after initially keeping their relationship private, and have made no secret of their commitment to each other.
Things soon progressed from “not a celebrity couple” to a red carpet-dwelling superstar duo with a legion of fans and dazzling careers.
They were often photographed at glitzy events, appeared on each other’s social media accounts and even shared a house together in southwest London.
Stormzy said he planned to marry Maya, telling the Sunday Mirror in February 2018: “I’m still very young but I want to propose to her, it’s going to happen and I’m going to do it right. She’s amazing, she’s the best.”
But in 2019, Maya’s representatives confirmed that the couple was no more.
The presenter and rapper confirmed their split is “final” after going their separate ways following a five-year relationship in 2019 and reconnecting last August (pictured in June).
Speaking to Louis Theroux in his interview series, the rapper admitted to making mistakes during their four-year relationship but revealed he has since grown.
He explained: ‘My breakup was probably the biggest catalyst for me growing as a man. It was like, okay, you made a mistake and you lost someone you loved, someone you cherished, someone who was special to you.
“That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? Other than someone dying, that’s the biggest loss you can have.”
In 2023, Maya said of the reaction to her romance with Stormzy: ‘None of us really knew the level of importance it had to a certain group of people that we were together.
‘We were both very ambitious. We both came from a similar upbringing and we were both hard workers who had achieved something good with our lives.’
In May 2021, rumors began to circulate that Maya had a new love in her life in the form of Ben Simmons, Kendall Jenner’s athlete ex-boyfriend.
The rumors started when she posted a photo of herself on Instagram in a kitchen rumored to belong to Ben and was also said to be wearing shorts that he had previously been photographed in.
Ben proposed to Maya at Christmas that same year, following a whirlwind romance after she spent the festive period at his £3.7million mansion in New Jersey.
However, love was lost once again when Maya split from Ben eight months later.
The British presenter and basketball star are said to have struggled with their busy schedules and maintaining long distance, as Ben is based in Brooklyn, New York, while Maya lives in London.
Then, in 2023, Maya was forced to endure rumors that she was involved in a union with another superstar: Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to sources close to the couple, the two spent some time together in New York, where they were on business. They were also photographed leaving the Le Piaf club in Paris with friends.
Sources close to the pair claimed: “They both recently got out of long-term relationships so neither of them are rushing into anything – they are just having fun and seeing how it goes.”
Despite the claims, Leo denied the series of rumours after a source told The Sun that the star, who was also linked to Gigi Hadid at the time, and Maya “were in regular contact and had been on a number of dates”.
The TV star confirmed in an Instagram statement on Wednesday that the couple had split again, admitting they had been trying for a year to “make it work.”
In August, Maya confirmed that her relationship with Stormzy was back on, four years after their initial split.
The pair ventured hand-in-hand to the island of Hydra in Greece, in what was their first public appearance together since rumours of a romantic reconciliation surfaced weeks earlier.
It had been claimed that Stormzy’s mother, Abigail Owuo, was the matchmaker who “motivated him to make amends with Maya”.
A source told The Sun at the time: “Stormzy is very open to wanting to settle down and have kids one day and knows Maya is ‘The One’.”
