Speaking in a rare interview with The standardMaya admitted that she is looking to get married and start a family with her next boyfriend.
The presenter confessed: “I’m very happy right now, but the next person I meet I want to get married and have kids, so I’m obviously feeling uneasy.”
‘I’ve created such a nice life just for myself and I don’t want anyone who won’t contribute to that. I’m in this lovely bubble and I don’t love you unless you make me happy. If you’re not, I don’t need you.
Sharing her advice, she continued, “One thing I’ve learned: Some people say, ‘I’m lonely, I need someone.’ But the mission in life is to make yourself happy and then find someone who brings something to the table that matches that.”
Stormzy and Maya announced their shocking split in July, posting a joint statement on Instagram that read: “We fell madly in love in 2014, separated in 2019 and spent five years separating our lives.”
They confirmed the breakup was “final” after going their separate ways following a five-year relationship in 2019 and reconnecting last August.
While the couple were thought to have split after disagreements over when to settle down, with Stormzy more of a homeboy and Maya more career-driven, last month he confirmed this was not the case.
After photos emerged of the rapper, 31, and his new girlfriend Victoria Monet, Maya took to Instagram to take the opportunity to say that the narrative “that I don’t want to settle down and have kids is a lie.”

The star appears to have doubled his earnings as he has cash worth £1.3m in the account over the past three months, but had £618,774 the year before.
Maya confessed that despite her success, which some men may find discouraging, she has never had romantic problems.
