During the second series of grime artist Big Zuu’s cooking show, the 26-year-old presenter shared her ambition to become a better cook when the time comes when she gets older, explaining, “Once I have children, I will be a real kitchen maid!’

Maya admitted she’s “not in me yet” to be a free-range hand in the kitchen, sharing her love for takeaways, especially from Deliveroo, during her performance on the show.

When asked what she normally does for food, Maya explains: ‘I’m always a Deliveroo person. I am very active in that. I now live in the city so there are so many options. You can literally get anything you want in less than 15 minutes.

‘I’m like, do I go into the kitchen to cook, or do I do Deliveroo? It is clearly a privilege. I always say that when I have kids, I will be a real kitchen maid. I just don’t have it in me yet. I want to love it, but I just don’t have the love for it.’

The TV personality went on to explain that while she can technically cook if she follows the instructions, she doesn’t have the passion for it and therefore doesn’t bother too often.

She explained: ‘I can really cook, as if I can follow instructions. So as long as I have ingredients and instructions, I can make anything. Maybe not at the highest level, but when I’ve tried to cook, I’ve cooked well.

‘Just the process of it is not so much fun for me. I’m like, waiting for it to kick in if I like cooking, but I’m not doing that yet. I don’t have much patience. And I live alone, so that doesn’t make much sense.’

Despite not being an expert in the kitchen, Maya said she considered herself a “foodie,” although she admitted she wants to make healthier food choices in the future.

She continued: ‘I like my food. I’m not the best cook, but I like food. I just love flavors and tastes. I don’t eat for health benefits, I eat to enjoy them. But I’m trying to get a little better as I get older!’

Maya shared her favorite hangover meal, revealing, “McDonald’s, of course! It is extensive in my area. I don’t know if it’s different everywhere, but you can now have breakfast until 11am, so I’m like, “Great!” wake up, have a McD’s breakfast and then start the day.’

Meanwhile, the Celebrity Juice star revealed a dating disaster on the show, admitting that she once sniffed snot while drinking and eating.

She admitted, “I laughed and snot came out. I tried to laugh it off, but that’s what happened. I had to wipe it off a bit and laugh. That was the awkward bit out of the way.’
