What a shameful end to a shameful presidency!
Instead of exiting this presidential race with dignity, instead of showing long-suffering Americans the respect we deserve, President Joe Biden was quick to declare his exit… on social media.
Joe Biden has made us look ridiculous!
This is not LBJ in 1968. In fact, this retreat—in tone, tenor, shame and bitterness—reminiscent of nothing less than Richard Nixon’s resignation.
Biden has humiliated himself, the nation, the Democratic elites, the mega-donors, and the liberal media enablers who spent years covering for him.
And he didn’t even initially support his vice president! Someone had to clean up aisle 9 of the X with a hasty tweet of support for Kamala.

At the time of writing, her personal account on X still has a message reading “Let’s finish the job.” She was only able to retweet her husband’s letter without commenting on her own, just a heart emoji.

This Sunday afternoon announcement came so suddenly that one wonders if it was issued before Biden could change his mind.
Before Hunter could fly back from his Malibu mansion. Before Barack Obama was forced to make the fatal push.
Announcements of this magnitude are typically announced with an alert to media outlets. Early reports indicate that Biden’s campaign staff was unaware of it and that a few were informed only a minute before anyone hit the “publish” button.
All of this raises more questions.
For example: Who wrote it? When was it written? Was it your decision or were you coerced?
Why did Biden, like LBJ before him, not announce his monumental decision to resign during a prime-time televised address from the Oval Office? Is he so far removed from reading from notes prepared on a teleprompter?
Who rules this country?
This is really the only question that matters.
Yet in this stereotypical and entirely self-congratulatory letter, in which Biden claims to have done what FDR did with the American economy and says he has left the nation better than he found it — “America has never been better positioned to lead than it is today” — he says he will serve out the remainder of his term.
Yes, Joe Biden’s focus — something he vaguely masters between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. — is now on “fulfilling my duties as president” through January.
Read this, my friends, in a hoarse Joe Biden-style whisper: He can not do it.
This man does not have to remain in the most important job on the planet. He does not have to have access to the nuclear codes. He should resign immediately, hand over the keys to Kamala, and prepare for what should be a thorough investigation into the cover-up of his health and cognitive decline.

At the end of this ignominious letter, Biden condescendingly tells us that “we simply have to remember that we are the United States of America.”
We know, Joe. We know.
“Remember” is a pretty apt choice of words.
After all, the only person who needs to be reminded that yes, we are America, a democracy that elects our leaders, not shadow governments, is President — for now — Biden.
