Maura Higgins has broken her silence about her romance with Pete Wicks after they were seen sharing a passionate kiss.
The Love Island icon, 33, and the Strictly star, 36, who were first linked in August, confirmed their relationship this week while packing on the PDA during a date in London.
Now Maura has spoken for the first time about her connection with Pete on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Brunson.
She told the host: ‘We get on very, very well. I adore him, he is an incredible person.
‘Do you know what’s so weird? We met shortly after I left Love Island and instantly clicked.

Maura split from her boyfriend, American stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, earlier this year.
She also previously dated Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice, as well as her Love Island co-stars Christopher Taylor and Curtis Pritchard.
Speaking about her previous relationships, Maura said: ‘I haven’t had a great track record in relationships. I feel like, apart from my best friend, all the boys have let me down.
“I expect them to disappoint me and you’ll never be able to have a healthy relationship if I wait for that.”
Maura and Pete, who first became romantically involved in August and have kept a low profile since, shared a tender moment in the corner at the Pride Of Britain after-party on Monday night.
Former Love Island finalist Maura was seen giving Pete a kiss on the nose before the pair were seen kissing at London’s Red Bar at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

One viewer exclusively told MailOnline that the pair were inseparable, whispering in each other’s ears and even locking their legs together as they enjoyed a drink alongside Wynne Evans, Tom Dean and Jamie Borthwick.
The witness shared: “They were on top of each other, I was surprised to see them so close because I thought he had real chemistry with Jowita.
“At one point, they were basically straddling each other and didn’t seem to care at all that people could see them.
‘You’d think Pete would be more worried about Tom given he’d just been kicked off Strictly but he only had eyes for Maura all night!’
The situation became even more complicated when Maura baffled fans while looking cozy with Strictly star Kai Widdrington during Monday’s awards ceremony.
Kai, 29, and Maura looked very close after the ceremony, with the professional dancer hugging the presenter tightly.
Meanwhile, Maura has dated American stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, who she split from earlier this year, as well as Love Islanders Curtis Pritchard (pictured in 2019) and Chris Taylor.
In 2021, Maura was in a relationship with former Strictly pro Giovanni, but their romance reportedly soured days after moving in together.
Meanwhile, in recent weeks, Pete has fueled romance rumors with Strictly Come Dancing co-star Jowita Przystał.
At one point, Kai appeared to spin Maura around before heading into a different room together.
Kai is believed to be currently single following his split from professional partner Nadiya Bychkova.
A Strictly source told Mailonline that the latest romantic twists will do little to tarnish the show’s reputation for its stars’ relationships.
The source said: ‘Kai and Maura getting closer while she still has feelings for Pete, who is now in love with Jowita, sums it up strictly at the moment.
“It’s a never-ending conveyor belt of relationships and adventures, with no signs of ending.”
