De Ligt reportedly believes this figure is too high and is looking closer to £68 million.
There was also disagreement about wages. De Ligt is currently the highest paid player in the roster, with a salary of £7million with bonuses potentially reaching £10million.
The meeting could mark the end of De Ligt’s time in Italy after he signed for Juve from Ajax in 2019 on a five-year contract.
Should he get his wish to leave, he could reunite with Erik ten Hag at United after the two teamed up at Ajax. De Ligt was also linked with a move to Old Trafford before leaving the Netherlands for Italy three years ago.
