Conservative commentator Matt Walsh raised eyebrows at the Democratic National Convention after crashing the event dressed as “white guys for Kamala Harris.”

Walsh sparked a backlash from Democrats after he was spotted in his progressive liberal guise, taunting them with a ponytail wig and a “Kamala Harris for President” hat as he wandered around the United Center in Chicago on Tuesday.

In a scene widely shared on social media, Walsh took a backseat as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was interviewed by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.

After Walsh was seen being escorted out as he tried to sneak into the interview, liberal viewers shared their outrage at Walsh’s mockery of their convention.

One commented: “Why is (Matt Walsh) walking around the DNC in costume? This is totally bizarre behavior.”

Walsh’s undercover appearance appears to be part of his upcoming political satire film ‘Am I Racist?’, where the pundit opposes an anti-racism workshop in one scene.

After gaining recognition for his previous film, ‘What Is a Woman?’, Walsh decided to adopt the same look as someone he interviewed in that film for his next movie.

Mimicking University of Tennessee gender expert Patrick Grzanka, he kept his thick beard but sported a man bun to poke fun at long-haired liberals.

While the disguise may have helped him through the rest of the upcoming film (including playing a bumbling rookie diversity consultant who spouts racial justice buzzwords), his efforts at the DNC were less than covert.

His supporters and critics were quick to acknowledge this, with some true Democrats questioning his mockery of their adoration of Kamala Harris.

In addition to her ponytail and red Harris cap, Walsh also covered her jacket with stickers from the Democratic candidate’s platform, including “Freedom from Gun Violence” and “Vote to Fix the Court.”

While Walsh’s fans felt his efforts were “fun,” his appearance at the Democratic National Convention was far from well-received by Kamala Harris supporters, who urged attendees not to feed him content for his new documentary.

“(Matt Walsh) is at the DNC posing as a delegate. DO NOT TALK TO HIM,” said one critic on X.

‘Call him! If you can, tell security… Spread the word! #hateentrepreneur #fake #loser’

Another person shared images of Walsh and called him “weird” and “perverted.”

While not everyone seemed to get Walsh’s trick, others were quick to recognize her ponytail look as part of her new anti-woke documentary.

One viewer joked that he is a “man on a mission to understand his internalized racism. What better place to do that than at the Democratic National Convention (DNC)?”

In his next film, Walsh decided to change his appearance after being recognized in his usual attire.

For his new documentary, Walsh posed as a rookie DEI consultant in a tweed jacket and man bun.

In his next film, Matt Walsh was all too easily recognizable with his signature plaid shirt, beard and pompadour, so he opted for a liberal long-haired look.

This month, Walsh gave DailyMail.com an exclusive look at his new documentary and shared a clip showing the moment he realised he had to go undercover for some scenes.

He had infiltrated a support group called ‘Grieving White Privilege, Anti-racist Allyship Training’, posing as Steven.

But he made the mistake of wearing his signature outfit: a plaid shirt, a thick beard and a pompadour.

At the session, one attendee noticed that he had among his ranks one of the leading right-wing voices in the United States, which quickly soured the atmosphere.

“I want to know that my physical safety, yours and everyone else’s here is okay,” a female attendant said, her voice shaking.

Breeshia Wade, the black woman leading the group of white attendees, urged Walsh to leave, before other members threatened to call the police.

In an email to The Mail, Walsh mocked the incident, joking: “I wanted to confront my whiteness, and they called the police… that doesn’t seem like a safe place to me.”
