  • Just before that, he had invited friends for dinner

Shocking footage has captured the moment when an owner of a car racing company became involved in a heated argument with neighbours.

Matt Stone, owner of Matt Stone Racing, and his wife invited a family to dinner in Helensvale, on the Gold Coast, on Sunday night.

His friend’s teenage sons were then walking home when a resident on the street chased them, believing they were trying to break into a house.

Mr Stone claims the children were aggressively threatened before the motor racing team owner, his wife and the teens’ parents tried to intervene.

Footage captured that evening shows tensions boiling over as the neighbor is confronted on his doorstep.

In the video, a woman can be seen holding a pole and prompting the neighbor to yell back.

‘You’re picking up a pole, aren’t you? Are you going to fucking hit me?’ he said.

‘Get off my property c***. What the hell are you going to do? I’ll take all four of you.’

Mr Stone released a statement shortly after the video was shared.

“The children’s parents and I then went to visit the man and my wife was pushed and assaulted and fell to the ground,” he said.

“The man then started filming us and was very abusive. I held out my hand to prevent the man from filming us.

At no point were there any punches from either side. This neighborhood quarrel is regrettable.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Queensland Police for comment.
