Matt Lauer and Annette Roque reunite for their daughter’s high school graduation in East Hampton

Disgraced Today Show host Matt Lauer and his ex-wife, model Annette Roque, reunited this weekend at their daughter’s graduation ceremony in the Hamptons.

The former couple proudly watched as their 18-year-old daughter Romy received her diploma at her opening ceremony in East Hampton.

Photographers captured Lauer, 64, and Roque, 55 sharing smiles as they greeted each other at the event. It is unclear if they sat together during the ceremony.

Dressed in an ivory lace dress, Roque carried a bouquet of flowers, presumably for Romy, into the event.

Proud dad Lauer was seen standing in the crowd, apparently taking pictures of Romy crossing the stage. He later walked around the event with his phone in hand, wearing a gray suit jacket and white baseball cap.

Lauer and Roque divorced in 2019 after 21 years of marriage. Their divorce came after the once highest-paid TV host in the country, who made $25 million a year, was expelled from NBC in 2017 over allegations of workplace sexual harassment.

The couple share three children: daughter Romy and sons Jack, 21, and Thijs, 15.

Little is known about Romy’s postgraduate plans, as Lauer and Roque have managed to keep their children relatively out of the public eye.

However, Romy has seemingly followed in her mother’s footsteps and has developed a passion for equestrian sports.

her audience TikTok account features clips of her practicing tricks, caring for her horses, and participating in horseback riding competitions.

The teen, like many her age, also uses the account to share viral “TikTok dances” and document events in her life. She had over 28,000 followers on the platform.

Lauer and Roque seem to support Romy and have both been spotted cheering her on at horse shows before.

The former TV personality and his longtime boyfriend-turned-girlfriend, Shamin Abas, also took Romy out for a night out last October to celebrate her 18th birthday.

Lauer was fired from NBC in 2017 amid a slew of sexual harassment allegations, set out in revelations by journalist Ronan Farrow and former Today Show host Katie Couric.

In Farrow’s 2019 novel Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, former NBC producer Brooke Nevils accused Lauer of sexually abusing her during consensual sex at the Sochi Olympics in 2014.

Lauer responded to the accusation by saying, “There was absolutely nothing aggressive about that meeting. Brooke didn’t do or say anything to object.’

He was also charged with giving a woman a sex toy and an explicit note stating how he intended to use it on her. He was also accused of showing another woman his penis in his office and playing ‘f***, marry or kill’ in the office.

Other anonymous women are said to have complained to NBC about Lauer’s sexual inappropriateness, with one woman saying she was called to his office for sex in 2001. He would also sometimes question female producers about who they had slept with, it was alleged.

There were also reports that Lauer’s office came with a desk button to lock the door.

In her all-encompassing Going There, former Today Show host Katie Couric admitted she “heard the whispers” about her old colleague. Couric and Lauer are pictured together in 2017

In her all-encompassing Going There, Couric admitted she “heard the whispers” about her old colleague.

She claimed that an unnamed producer was told by Lauer to come to the now infamous office wearing a “skirt that came off easily.”

She also wrote that Lauer complained to her that he didn’t feel comfortable putting his arm around a female coworker to comfort her when she cried, fearing he would then face charges of inappropriate behavior.

Even before these allegations were made, Couric said her former co-anchor Lauer told her he thought feminist movements like The Me Too were getting too powerful.

“This MeToo thing feels like it’s getting out of hand,” Lauer told Couric. “It feels like a witch hunt.”

She added that Lauer was “concerned about a lack of due process, which would destroy people’s livelihoods and reputations.”

Couric told Lauer not to put his arm around the women anymore because it made them feel uncomfortable, she writes.

She said she tried to “imagine a scene like that” and told Lauer that “he can’t do that — you can’t put your arm around them.”
