Matt Damon stepped out with a small mustache as he left the set of his upcoming Oppenheimer movie in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 51-year-old actor donned a gray t-shirt that barely hid his muscular arms and a pair of tight black pants.

He was walking around in a pair of worn gray sneakers with an orange symbol on the side.

It looked like the Good Will Hunting star might have gone for an incognito look, his baseball cap pulled low over his eyes and dark sunglasses obscuring his face.

He had a black sweater with him and a large red folder, possibly containing a script, in his hands.

Damon supposedly plays Leslie Groves Jr., who headed the Manhattan Project, the United States’ covert research team dedicated to developing the atomic bomb.

The Martian actor is one of many stars with a role in Christopher Nolan’s drama based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.

Peaky Blinders’ Cillian Murphy will play the title character, and A Quiet Place actress Emily Blunt will play his wife Kitty.

Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman, Casey Affleck, Kenneth Branagh, Rami Malek and Jason Clarke have roles in the film, as well as many other true Hollywood professionals.

The film will follow Oppenheimer’s life as he developed the atomic bomb for the United States government.

His work caused bombs to be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a devastating attack that killed thousands and put a final exclamation point on World War II.

After the United States dropped the bombs, Oppenheimer campaigned for nuclear arms controls to prevent a possible nuclear war with the former Soviet Union.

Oppenheimer died in 1967 of throat cancer after years of cigarette smoking. He was 62 years old.

The current release date, set by Universal Pictures, is July 21, 2023.
