Mary Fowler is counting the minutes until Nathan Cleary arrives in England, as she reveals the Australian romance that inspires her.
The Matildas star, 21, posted a series of images on Instagram on Friday from the field.
Among the photos was a love heart, with the Manchester City ace clearly excited about the imminent arrival of her NRL superstar boyfriend.
Fowler also showed her 437,000 followers that she is reading the book Heartstrong by Ellidy Pullin.
The memoir was written following the death of Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin, who drowned while spearfishing at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast on July 8, 2020.
He was a two-time snowboard cross world champion and had represented Australia at three Winter Olympics.
It comes as Panthers coach Ivan Cleary revealed earlier this week that his son Nathan will put surgery on hold so he can fly to the UK to spend time with Fowler.
Cleary was exceptional in the 14-6 grand final victory over Melbourne Storm, and Penrith have now won the last four NRL titles.

The superstar running back suffered shoulder problems throughout the season and revealed after the decisive game that he will soon have to undergo surgery again.
But that’s been put on the back burner for a couple of weeks so he can catch up with his girlfriend.
“He’s going abroad to see Mary, spend some time with her and then he’ll make it,” Ivan Cleary told Seven at the club’s awards night.
‘I met Mary…she is a lovely girl and very mature for her age. “They’re very happy together, so that’s the main thing.”
Fowler couldn’t be at Sydney’s Accor Stadium to watch Cleary win her fourth consecutive NRL crown because she was about to take the field with Manchester City in the Women’s Super League, but she still kept an eye on the scoreboard.
Once his match was over, he posted a message on Instagram with the word “Him” along with a fiery eyes and heart emoji above a photo of Cleary celebrating with the trophy.
After playing a starring role in City’s 2-0 win over West Ham by scoring one goal and setting up the other, Fowler posted the caption “A good weekend indeed” along with photos of herself during the match and one of her wearing her man’s Panthers. shirt and giving the double approval in the City dressing room.
Mary and Nathan began dating in late 2023, and their relationship was first revealed by Daily Mail Australia.

They have since become Australia’s leading sporting couple and their social media posts have attracted thousands of reactions online from football and rugby league fans.
That led to speculation that Cleary could head to the English Super League for the 2025 season, to be closer to his teammate, but the Panthers quickly shut that down.
Cleary recently spoke in detail about their relationship for the first time, explaining how Fowler changed his life, supported him and opened his eyes.
“I’ve loved it, it’s everything I would have ever dreamed of having a partner, to be honest,” he told Channel Nine’s Marlee and Me podcast.
“It just adds a new perspective, but it also adds an extra layer that when things are going well, you want to share it with them and talk about it, and when things aren’t going well, they’re there too.”
