An Indiana math teacher has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl during active target practice at their high school.

Ian Grey, 38, was taken into custody on Thursday and is now charged with child abuse, child seduction and sexual misconduct with a minor.

Gray was teaching at Fall Creek Intermediate School at the time when he “inappropriately touched” the sixth-grade girl multiple times over the course of the 2017-2018 school year.

According to court documents, which have been viewed by FOX 59, Gray initially harassed the girl by touching her thigh, but “later touched her breasts and genitals.”

The abuse allegedly took place during target practice, with Gray “covering the door window of a small group room” where they had been placed.

The abuse reportedly started to become more frequent and started weekly before the girl’s mother noticed “a drastic shift” in her behavior.

According to the girl’s mother, the 12-year-old started self-harming and behaving.

She says Gray told other students that the girl was a “bad influence” and that they shouldn’t be friends with her.

Gray left Fall Creek Intermediate School Gray at the end of 2017-2018.

He had reportedly taught there for over a decade, but the then principal says he did not suspect any of Gray’s inappropriate behavior.

A school counselor reportedly told investigators she remembered the girl not wanting to go to Gray’s class because he was “too hard on her.”

The girl did not disclose any abuse.
