A math teacher begged a student with drink and persuaded her to perform a sexual act on him after he offered her & # 39; teach her what to do & # 39; during a school trip, a court heard.

Neville Buckle, 48, would have invited the then 17-year-old and a friend to his hotel room at the end of the 2007 vacation.

He encouraged the teenagers to play with the bottle and the truth or dare, one of them to kiss his leg and to question them about their sexual experiences, is claimed.

He then massaged his supposed victim while lying half naked on his hotel bed before convincing her to perform a sexual act against him, the jury heard.

Mr. Buckle, from Shrivenham, Wiltshire, denies the charges.

Swindon Crown Court heard that Buckle had joined the trip abroad because the organizers needed him to guide male students.

It is claimed that Buckle took the older students alcohol on the last evening while relaxing after the New Year's Eve celebrations.

He then walked his alleged victim and her friend to their room, where he claimed that he had invited them back to his bedroom – and had abused one of the girls.

The court heard he had one of them kiss his leg while they turned the game & # 39; the bottle & # 39; and asked them about their sexual history in a game of & # 39; truth or dare & # 39 ;.

He then massaged one of the girls while she was in bed and asked her to take her top off.

During the massage, Mr. Buckle would have turned the discussion into sex – offering to teach her what to do & # 39 ;.

Allegedly he took off his underwear and she performed a sexual act on him and stopped when she said she felt sick. The girl would have given Mr Buckle a spacious berth for the rest of the vacation.

But when she saw him at school the next term, David Maunder said, "He pretended that everything was perfectly normal." She couldn't handle it and quit school soon afterwards. & # 39;

The girl mentioned the incident to her mother in 2011 and to her friend in 2017, but it was only when she had a bad luck after seeing him in a sports competition that she reported it to detectives.

Mr Maunder said that the question for the jury was simply whether the alleged meeting took place, not whether the sexual activity was consensual or not.

He said: & # 39; It is claimed that, probably in July 2007, at a time when this suspect was employed as a teacher, he performed sexual acts with a young girl who was 17 years old at the time.

& # 39; It is clear that the crown says that at that time he should have known the age of the complainant or should have known for sure and clearly knew that he was in a position of trust due to his work at that school. & # 39;
