During the MasterChef Australia semifinal on Sunday, Laura Sharrad kept crying as she struggled with one of the steps to create Guest chef Martin Benn’s breathtaking ‘toffee apple’.

“Milzy and Rey Rey are helping Lozzie with her apple, why am I crying in the club now?” a viewer tweeted.

Another described the gesture as “more than kindness,” while a third suggested that Emelia earned bonus points for helping her opponent.

A fourth viewer tweeted, “Okay, that was cute, I love how they all help each other.”

“Emilia, you’re a sweetheart,” said another fan rather succinctly.

During the semifinal challenge, Laura struggled to peel her apple in a long strand, which was crucial to the dish on hand.

“Take a deep breath,” Emilia said, stepping out and explaining to Laura how to use kitchen appliances.

In an on-camera interview, Laura explained, “I really can’t believe we’re all fighting for a place in the final, and the two most selfless people I know came over and stopped what they were doing.”
