Los Angeles Fire Department officials, along with building inspectors and a geologist visited the crack site and said that while “it looks bad,” no evacuation order has been given.

LAFD spokesman Erik Scott explained: ‘We work very closely with construction and safety, as well as public works, who did an assessment and a geologist looked at this hillside.

‘Then our firefighters worked very closely with the residents. There are about five houses around that area that we spoke to. We explained the situation, we explained the findings and furthermore, no formal evacuation was given, and since it had not moved, of course, there were no injuries.

“I’m just saying it sure looks bad.”

The hillside is near Mount Saint Mary University’s Chalon campus and five homes in the area are feared to be in danger, including Scott’s.

Scott had purchased his stylish seven-bedroom postmodern property in June 2020.

Their three-story property includes a total of 11 bathrooms and spans 16,700 square feet.

The massive rooftop includes a foliage-lined parking lot, and its driveway curves downward to become the third-floor balcony.

In the backyard is a long glass-bottom infinity pool that offers stunning views of Los Angeles.

To one side of the pool is a gleaming wooden deck with space for plenty of chairs and tables.

The pool is flanked by a canopy at one end and at the other there are stairs leading to the lower floor.

Travis’ new backyard also includes a grass area and patio that extends to the second-floor living room.

The second floor is largely open to the backyard, with floor-to-ceiling doors that run wall-to-wall to give the living room a light, airy feel.

While officials do not believe there is an immediate threat to any homes in the area, the danger remains as rain is forecast to hit the city this week.
