Six ambulances, four helicopters and half a dozen police cars rush to Warwickshire after a mass car crash left eight victims, including four teenagers with life-threatening injuries

Six ambulances, four helicopters and half a dozen police cars rushed to the scene of a mass car crash that left eight people hospitalized.
Four teenagers have been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after their Ford Fiesta collided with a Fiat 500 at around 4.10pm yesterday.
The accident happened at the junction of the A429 with the B4035 Campden Road at Portobello Crossroads, near Shipston in Warwickshire.
A woman and two children in the Fiat also suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital, while an eighth person collapsed at the roadside due to a medical condition.
Warwickshire Police Sergeant Gary Bridgwater said: ‘Our thoughts remain with those who were injured tonight.

The next of kin of those involved have been informed and are currently being supported by specially trained agents.
“A number of investigations are now underway to investigate the collision.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said when paramedics arrived they saw both cars had ‘significant damage’.
All four teens were in the same car and received advanced trauma care from the enhanced care teams on the air ambulances.
The teenage girl and one of the boys were airlifted separately to the major trauma center at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
A second teenage boy was airlifted to the major trauma center at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW).
The third boy was taken with a doctor from one of the helicopters in a land ambulance to the same hospital.

A woman and two children – a boy and a girl – were rushed by ambulance to the John Radcliffe with serious injuries.
The eighth person, a man, collapsed at the scene but was treated there before being discharged.
At least six different emergency services worked together to save the eight victims.
Two helicopters from Midlands Air Ambulance were joined by the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
There were six land ambulances – four from West Midlands Ambulance Service and two from South Western Ambulance Service – as well as five paramedics.
In between, the B4035 remained closed in both directions the Darlingscott and Charingworth turns, according to the AA.
Warwickshire Police appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage.
