The smart skier, called Rocket Man, was filmed yesterday as he shot uphill at the Glenshee Ski Center in Aberdeenshire.

Glenshee Ski Center is the largest ski area in Scotland and experienced a bumper week thanks to cold weather and a large snowfall recently.

Today is the fourth day in a row that Glenshee has opened for skiers, snowboarders and sleds.

Despite eleven running ski lifts, the thrill seeker took matters into his own hands and used his jetpack to navigate through the resort instead.

Not only did he avoid having to stand in line for the lifts, he saved time by having to stand in line to pay for a ski lift.

A video made by another snow sports enthusiast, Dave Marsh, shows him up the mountain to reach the top of the mountain while the loud roar of his jet engine is heard.

The Glenshee Ski Center has taken a photo of the fearless skier wearing his full black ski gear while he is getting ready to press the button on his heavy jetpack.

Referring to one of the lifts at the resort, they wrote on the image: “I hope everyone had a good day. There were some strange events at Butcharts – some of you saw it. “

Hundreds of impressed followers commented on the post – including some who saw ‘Rocket Man’ while visiting the resort.
