A woman in her 70s was sexually assaulted by a masked intruder who broke into her home.
The man, wearing dark shorts, a T-shirt and a mask covering his face, entered the woman’s home in Heathridge, Perth, between midnight and 1am on Sunday.
‘The occupant of the house, a woman in her 70s, was asleep on the sofa when she was woken up by the man next to her. “The man indecently assaulted her before leaving the house,” police said.

The attacker took an article of clothing from the woman during the attack.
Detective Sergeant John Mottolini said the woman was “well, but understandably very upset and is receiving support from her family and WA Police.”
‘It was very scary for her. The report we have received is worrying and is something we are taking very seriously.
“We want the public to be alert but not alarmed, especially those in the Heathridge area.”
Officers are now reviewing security cameras in an effort to locate the man.
Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage near Montebello Avenue between 12.05am and 1am on Sunday is asked to contact police.
