The village of Prêcheur, on the northwest coast of Martinique, is slowly disappearing. Every year a little more of the coastline, along with houses, shops and bars, is lost to the sea. The village is a symbol of the pressing threat of rising sea levels to Martinique, where the water is swelling by an average of 3.5mm per year, compared to 2.5mm ten years ago.
