Martha Stewart scares the camera crew on April Fools’ Day while Sarah Polly is fooled by her daughter

Date:

On April Fools’ Day this year, there were many celebrities who were behind the hoaxes — or who were being scammed.

For example, Sarah Polley, 44, gleefully pranked her child with a letter detailing asking the Oscar-winning director to return her award, so that it could be awarded to the “legitimate” nominee.

And in a clip shared on Instagram, Martha Stewart, 81, left the camera crew in shock when she suddenly collapsed and emerged with a towel covered in blood while apparently in the middle of filming.

Founder Martha Stewart Living opted for an easy and effective practical prank with red food coloring, while Polly’s 11-year-old daughter Eve rocks an amusing prank.

Earlier this month, the screenwriter won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for her drama Women Talking.

Using this tip, Eve writes and hands her a lengthy letter telling Polly that the committee gave her the cup by mistake.

In the typed letter, I wrote that the best “true” screenplay adaptation was actually Edward Berger’s All Quiet On The Western Front.

Polly quickly snapped up the message and shared it on Twitter, writing, “My 11-year-old son swung on April Fools’ Day this year. #April Fool’.

“Dear Sarah Polley,” the letter began. We tell you this with deepest regret: The Oscar you received was given by mistake – you must return it.

“We give you an extra week to enjoy having him in your home, but after that period of time you must mail him back to Los Angeles.”

In the note, Polly’s daughter asserts that the letter was no joke despite being dated April Fools’ Day and even forging the signature of former academy president David Rubin.

“We feel it is wrong for you to have this on April 1st because you will most likely think it is a joke, and we feel that is wrong, so another letter will be sent assuring you that this is not a joke,” Eve wrote in a letter.

The letter continued, “This is too harsh to be a joke, so we deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.”

I caught you! Earlier this month, the screenwriter won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for her drama Women Talking, and using that tip, Eve wrote and delivered a lengthy letter telling Polly that the committee had given it to her by mistake.

Play Along: Amusingly, Edward Berger, 53, the director whose letter insisted he's an award-winner

Play Along: Amusingly, Edward Berger, 53 — the filmmaker the letter insisted was the “legitimate” award winner — also enjoyed the joke.

In the memo penned by Eve, the ‘Academy’ also states that they know they accidentally gave her the Oscar at the ceremony but have hesitated to act so far to avoid another instance of Moonlighting and La La Land.

Admittedly, Edward Berger, 53 – the director whom the letter insisted was the “legitimate” award winner – also relished the joke.

He tweeted in response, “Dear Sarah, To save on postage costs because I live abroad, the Academy has asked me to give you my address so you can ship the Oscars directly.”

“I will follow up shortly,” he added. ‘alright with you? All the best, Edward.

In another comical stunt, Stewart completely shocked the crew as she was apparently filming an Arts and Crafts segment.

The entrepreneur posted the video on her Instagram story – and shared with her 1.7 million followers how she got them.

While showing off a product, Stewart abruptly turns away from the camera, apologizing as she catches her eyes.

She collapsed from view behind a table, and when she got up, she was holding a bloody towel over her head.

You totally get it, man. There is an enthusiastic fan base and I am a fan. I get it. Mostly, people don’t want something like this to be messed up. They are precious about it. They are keen. “I’m grateful for that,” he said during an interview with Gizmodo on Wednesday.
