Martha Stewart is the ultimate expert on all things home, but you might be surprised to know that there’s one popular decor item you don’t have on hand.
The 83-year-old lifestyle mogul recently revealed that she doesn’t like using scented candles when she’s at home.
Instead, the Sports Illustrated cover model opts for the real model.
“I use all beeswax candles,” she revealed in a new interview with Seduce.
“We’re a family of natural aromas… of flowers, food, that kind of thing,” she explained.

However, even though she only uses beeswax candles, she definitely still makes them look beautiful.
“I have beautiful antique brass chandeliers and these big antique cut glass hurricanes with candles,” she told the outlet.
It may seem obvious, but beeswax candles are exactly what they sound like: candles made from a special type of wax that is made from bees’ honey.

It comes after Stewart was forced to applaud the ‘harsh judgement’ she received after posting photos of her newly decorated living room inside her Maine home.
Alongside a photo of the room, Stewart wrote on her personal Instagram page: “I rarely read all the comments that come after I post, but because I was so happy with the transformation of my living room in Maine.
‘I looked through many of the comments and was surprised at the harsh judgment many showed!!!’
He added: “My Maine helpers and I spent three hours removing the old furniture and putting up the new ones. We were pleased that the pieces really fit the room and were proportional to the large size of the space.’
