Recently filed court documents in the sexual assault lawsuit against Nathan Fletcher, 47 (seen here with his wife Lorena Gonzalez), have debunked his accuser's claims.

Screenshots of texts between a woman accusing a married Democrat of sexual assault and her friend have seemingly cast doubt on her claims.

Development comes from Recently filed court documents in the sexual assault lawsuit against Nathan Fletcher, 47, who served as president of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors from 2021 to 2023.

His accuser, former Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) public relations specialist Grecia Figueroa, 36, sued him in San Diego Superior Court for sexual assault, harassment and battery in March 2023, alleging that he groped and kissed her.

Texts included in documents filed by Fletcher’s lawyers, however, paint their interactions in a different light, referencing a passionate “make-out session” and claims by Figueroa that she was “fucking in love.”

Another appeared to show the city official’s intent to ruin Fletcher’s marriage, saying, “I’ll show him how smart I am and I hope he divorces his wife and realizes he just met the love of his life.”

Sent to Figueroa’s friend Danielle Radin after the pair’s alleged first meeting on May 12, 2022, Figueroa wrote: ‘Brooooo it’s happening I’m meeting him but kind of casual like under the table,’ the post revealed.

Radin, a television journalist and self-proclaimed domestic violence counselor, responded: “GOOD LUCK!!!! Let me know how it goes,” according to the file.

Figueroa, a Peruvian-American who moved to the United States when she was 13, responded: “Oh my God… so if I want to have sex with this man… I can.”

This came after Fletcher – then chairman of the MTS board – “convinced” her to visit him at his hotel and took her to a staircase where he confessed he was in love with her before offering her “some drinks”, her original complaint said.

Figueroa initially said she was “shocked and confused” and “powerless” by the politician’s advances, given her position.

She also said Fletcher, who has been married to his second wife, Lorena Gonzalez, since 2017, made advances toward the end of the evening, “putting his hands on her and kissing her,” the complaint says.

Radin then responded: “Well yeah I could have told you that lol,” Fletcher’s submission stated.

An hour later, while with Fletcher, Figueroa texted him back.

Radin previously wrote in a court declaration filed two weeks ago that her communications with Figueroa were related solely to her work as an investigative journalist for CBS Los Angeles and a domestic violence counselor. She also worked for Fox 5 and NBC 7 in San Diego.

“I told him no, that we should not kiss. We are going to work together for at least another two years, we cannot get to that point,” the document states.

Radin, after hearing that Fletcher tried to kiss her, responded, “I thought they were going to kiss haha,” the filing revealed.

Later that night, Figueroa wrote how she held back for three hours before finally kissing Fletcher, telling her friend, “I feel like I just stepped out of the wildest dream I could have ever had and I don’t know how to feel about it.”

“Oh my God, it was great, but at the same time I felt sooo bad,” she said.

“I have no words,” the document added.

She went on to blame the ‘3 freaking beers’ the two drank before the interaction, while confirming to her friend: ‘We kissed.’

Other texts detail an alleged second meeting with the traffic chief, which occurred in June of that year.

At that point, the transit chief allegedly told Figueroa to meet him in a conference room at the MTS office in San Diego.

Figueroa, a Peruvian-American who moved to the United States when she was 13, says the politician who dropped his Senate bid last year over her lawsuit groped and kissed her.

Once inside, Fletcher “put his mouth against hers and began grabbing her breasts through her clothing,” the complaint states.

In a later text message, Figueroa told Radin: ‘Hahahaha I just hugged him and congratulated him… and then we moved to the corner of the room, away from the window and kissed.’

“Having a make-out session today wasn’t in my plans,” she added. “But hey… what do I know now?”

Radin responded by writing: “OMG LOL… but that’s so sexy,” according to Fletcher’s document.

Again, the narrative seen in the correspondence differed greatly from that in Figueroa’s complaint, where she wrote that she rejected Fletcher during the interaction.

She further claimed that he told her that he “did not feel comfortable having this type of encounter with him, especially at MTS headquarters,” something that is not apparent in the filing.

The texts also show discrepancies during an alleged third meeting on December 1, 2022, after which Figueroa texted Radin that day with five ‘OMGs.’

Fletcher’s attorney said Friday that the newly revealed messages “virtually eviscerate the plaintiff’s allegations against (his client),” who in March of last year acknowledged that he had engaged in inappropriate behavior and underwent treatment for alcohol abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder.

She then admitted that she and Fletcher “just had a really, really intense make-out session,” along with the confusing acronym “Wtf.”

Radin previously wrote in a court declaration filed two weeks ago that her communications with Figueroa were related solely to her work as an investigative journalist for CBS Los Angeles and a domestic violence counselor.

“In the course of my investigative work, I discovered information about Mr. Fletcher’s conduct that was of significant public interest,” Radin wrote on Aug. 13.

“The seriousness of the allegations related to sexual misconduct and abuse of power made it imperative for me, as a journalist, to continue monitoring the situation through direct communication with the source herself, Ms. Figueroa.”

He added that “any information I may have about Nathan Fletcher would have been obtained solely as a result of my role as a domestic violence counsellor or in my capacity as a journalist reporting on related matters.”

He also dropped out of his state Senate campaign, all because of Figueroa’s lawsuit.

‘I feel sick but grateful that the truth is finally coming out, slowly.

“It’s funny how they seemed to also find images of her that weren’t the glamorous photo from a decade ago,” she added, referring to recent court appearances of her husband’s accuser used in an NBC San Diego article reporting on the development.

The case is still ongoing.
