Married At First Sight’s Tayla Winter claims she was given a ‘villain edit’ on the show and blames the producers for ‘manipulating’ her

Tayla and Hugo’s journey came to an end at Wednesday night’s explosive dinner when Tayla “gave up” the experiment to return to Tasmania.
However, the 27-year-old returned to the couples retreat to tell Hugo that she was ready to give their relationship another chance.
He wasn’t interested in any kind of revival, and Tayla has now opened up about her departure, stating that the producers gave her a “villainy” edit.

“They didn’t really have a villainess this year and I had to slide into that role a bit,” she explained.
“I don’t think it’s a true representation of myself and it doesn’t reflect who I am, but it is what it is. People who know me know me.
The nurse said she was taken advantage of and went into the experiment ‘extremely naive’.
“There they took full advantage of me, they manipulated me a lot,” he said.
“Even last night they edited my audio so much to make it sound like I wanted to stay. I never wanted to go back from Tassie, but I had to.
Tayla may be referring to a major scene that was cut from Wednesday night’s episode where she reportedly showed her vulnerable side by reading an emotional letter.
One of the show’s cast members told Daily Mail Australia: “Tayla could barely read the letter, she was crying her eyes out.”

“They didn’t really have a villainess this year and I had to slide into that role a bit,” she explained.
‘She didn’t tell anyone about it. She just took the letter out from under her dress and started reading it,” the source said.
“It was a deeply personal letter, and it explained why she would always keep her guard up. Tayla was very raw and vulnerable…it was a side that none of the actors had seen in her,” they continued.
‘It was hard for everyone. The cast was crying and ran to comfort her.
According to the source, Alyssa Barmonde and Cam Woods comforted Tayla, but her husband Hugo did not.
