Married At First Sight’s Michael Felix has broken his silence after his relationship with Stephen Stewart was rocked by a flirting scandal this week.
In Monday’s episode, Michael, 34, became upset after watching his husband Stephen, 26, flirt with another man, before exchanging numbers with him.
Their relationship was thrown into doubt when Stephen told Michael that he felt a stronger connection to the stylist than to him.
Michael has now broken his silence on the emotional scenes, appearing on Brontë & Lakey radio show success to discuss the shocking drama.
Speaking to hosts Bronte Langbroek and Danny Lakey, Michael admitted he felt “blindsided” by the flirtation, particularly given Stephen’s openness about being cheated on in a past relationship.

Michael said: “Apparently there was a spark there that I witnessed that I tried to ignore, and I discovered that there was a sexual attraction to this guy that he never had with me, that he could never see with me.” That was a shame.’
“It was a complete mistake, especially considering his past and knowing how monogamy works for him and for me too,” she added.
Michael also criticized some of his MAFS co-stars, as he claimed that much of the 2024 cast was only in the ‘drama’ reality show.
“There are a lot of people on the show just for the drama and there are some people who are really genuine,” he said cryptically, but declined to name anyone.
However, he continued to talk about his unexpected confrontation with Sara, in which the girlfriend came to Stephen’s defense amid the flirting scandal, leaving Michael fuming.

In the fierce confrontation, Michael accused Sara of being “shallow” as she criticized him for “attacking” her as they clashed.
Of their confrontation, Michael said, “(Sara) is obviously involved in a lot of drama and a lot of trouble.”
‘She sat next to me and that triggered me, I thought I was done with this. Never give anyone else a chance to talk, stay away from me,’ she continued.
“I will always fight fire with fire if necessary.”
Michael shared his discomfort on MAFS in scenes that aired on Monday after witnessing his husband Stephen flirting with a hairdresser while the pair visited a salon.
‘Stephen was doing his hair. I could see my husband flirting with his hairdresser. Later I saw them texting,” Michael told the cameras during the episode.
Stephen did not apologize for the incident and told Michael that he felt a stronger connection with the stylist than he did after three weeks with him.
After the flirting scandal, the couple could not reach a resolution, leaving the future of their relationship in doubt.
He went on to talk about his unexpected confrontation with Sara, in which the girlfriend came to Stephen’s defense, and slyly said that much of the cast is just there for the “drama.”
Michael said: ‘He told me he felt a spark with the hairdresser that he had never felt with me. My trust has been betrayed, he let a spark bring down an entire house.’
“I had a 30-second conversation with someone and it was a lot easier to flirt with them than it was to flirt with you after knowing you for weeks,” Stephen added.
