Married At First Sight’s Melinda Willis and Layton Mills have announced their decision to “take some time apart.”
Melinda, 32, made the announcement via an Instagram Story on Wednesday evening.
Alongside a black and white photo of the couple kissing, Melinda wrote a caption saying they wanted to keep the matter private but decided they owed transparency to supporters invested in their relationship.
“After much thought and consideration, we have unfortunately decided to both take a break,” Melinda stated.
The couple was one of two couples who seemed to still be going strong after this year’s season of Married At First Sight, with the lovebirds recently moving in together.

Host Yvie Jones spoke to Melinda about her relationship with the biotech CEO when she dropped the surprise bombshell.
“But he never told you he loved you. Is that true?’ Yvie asked when Melinda talked about defying the odds with Layton.
“He has now, but it was in a love letter,” Melinda admitted.
She went on to say that Layton found it “very, very difficult” to say the words out loud.

“I didn’t accept that at first, I think he was just always afraid of commitment and something forever,” Melinda said.

It comes just a few months after the couple revealed Layton will leave his Sydney home to move in with Melinda in Brisbane.
Speaking to Al Perkins and Taku Chimwaza on Nova’s Back To Reality podcast in June, the entrepreneur said her partner was already “packing.”
