Married At First Sight’s John Aiken reveals ‘sickening twist’ set to rock 2025 series: ‘Never done before’

Married At First Sight 2025 will take things to a whole new level with a jaw-dropping twist that has already left contestants on next year’s series stunned.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal season 12 will be rocked by a shocking new task that completely blindsided the cast, leaving them questioning their decision to appear on the show.

Sources close to the show reveal that the challenge was presented in the early hours of the morning before the show ended.

Cast members were woken up, separated from their castmates, and handed an envelope containing a cryptic invitation to participate in what was described as a “fucked up” task.

Each participant had to make their own decision, completely unaware of what their partner would choose.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at Channel Nine Upfronts on Thursday, pundit John Aiken cryptically teased the dramatic turn.

“We can’t tell you exactly what it is, but what we can say is that on Married At First Sight, what we always try to do is give viewers something a little different,” she shared.

‘And also the participants, so they don’t know what’s coming. This year, as the end approaches and they are going to make a big decision about final vows, we throw them a challenge that no one has ever seen them do before.’

“None of us knew what to do with this,” a source revealed to Daily Mail Australia.

“When we opened those envelopes, it was clear that this was something totally different from anything we had seen on the show.”

The twist has already caused chaos among the participants.

Some flatly refused to move forward, drawing a line in the sand and standing their ground.

Those who decided to participate faced a confrontation with other contestants, and some instantly regretted their decision.

‘Some of the contestants were visibly shaken. “They didn’t sign up for this and you could see it in their faces when they realized what was at stake,” a source close to the production shared.

“Others seemed determined to move forward, even if they weren’t sure it was the right decision.”

Next year viewers will be captivated once again by Married At First Sight’s stunning weddings and honeymoons, confrontational commitment ceremonies and dramatic dinner parties.

A sneak peek, obtained exclusively by Daily Mail Australia, begins with bride Lauren Hall admitting she has a “resting bitch face.”

When asked by a producer how that made her feel, the outspoken bride admits she “didn’t care” what people thought.

“I would describe modern man as a wet fish,” he goes on to explain.

Another scene shows mother-of-one Awhina Rutene admitting: “My walls are up, I’m protecting my heart” during one of the show’s dinner dramas.

Elsewhere, girlfriend Jamie Marinos admits she feels like she “cheated” on her partner Dave.

The tiny bride is then heard overwhelming her tattooed groom with questions on their wedding day.

‘Are you going to Pilates? Do you go to raves? What siblings do you have? Do you go out a lot? she asks, before telling the cameras: “I think Dave is thinking, I’ve hit the jackpot. He seems to like it…”

Speaking on camera, Dave doesn’t seem at all impressed with his girlfriend.
