Married at first sight ‘hot couple’ Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James have responded to the backlash over their Halloween costumes with a series of racy snaps.
The couple came under fire this week for ‘turning drag’ and dressing up as each other.
And on Friday, Evelyn, 28, shared a gallery of photos in which she posed in a sheer lace thong and bodysuit and tall stiletto-heeled boots.
She completed the racy look with what appears to be a cat-eye ‘sex mask’ and a pair of long black gloves.
Model Cece Buss was also seen in the photos alongside Evelyn, as they both wore identical outfits.
The couple posed provocatively in several photographs, using a black ‘spanking paddle’ as a prop.
Evelyn’s caption indicated that the outfits were from lingerie brand Honey Birdette.
Duncan, 39, joined the couple dressed in an outfit that paid tribute to Ali G, the infamous rapper character created by the English comedian. Sacha Baron Cohen.

With a thick beard of several days, Duncan wore a bright yellow jumpsuit, matching glasses, a black knit hat and a ‘fanny pack’, an outfit well recognized by Ali G fans.
Evelyn shared the snaps on her Instagram Stories alongside images of her and Duncan dining at a luxurious nightspot while wearing the extravagant costumes.
It comes after celebrity stylist Jamie Azzopardi criticized Evelyn and Duncan for their “scary” choice of Halloween costume.

Duncan and Evelyn came under fire this week for “going drag” and dressing up as each other. The MAFS ‘hot girlfriend’ and her friend pose alongside Duncan, 39, in a costume that pays homage to Ali G, the famous ‘rapper’ character created by English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.
Duncan looked glamorous on the red carpet as he dressed in drag and wore a handmade replica of his girlfriend’s Logies 2023 ensemble.
Meanwhile, MAFS’ ‘sexy bride’ wore a black tuxedo and wig paired with fake facial hair.
“Spooky szn (season),” he wrote in the caption.
“This year we decided to take things a little further and fully commit, this took a long time haha and was one of the scariest things we’ve ever done.”
‘PS: I don’t look like Duncan at all.’
Evelyn and Duncan also dressed up for Halloween in 2023 and were widely praised by their fans and fellow cast members for their costume.
But the influencer couple’s work struck a sour note for Jamie, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.
She said it was painful to see a heterosexual couple play with gender performance and be praised for it, while the LGBTQ+ community is persecuted for doing the same.
“It’s unfortunate that it’s framed as if the ‘scariest thing’ you can do in life is cross-dress,” Jamie told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I don’t know how else to read that title. It’s kind of deaf.
The couple posed provocatively in several photos and used a black ‘spanking paddle’ as an accessory. A caption revealed that the sets came from the Honey Birdette lingerie range.
The Sydney-based stylist compared the couple’s costume to a white person dressing up as a person of color in blackface, or choosing to “wear” a culture as a costume for Halloween.
“I love Duncan and Evelyn and I know he has gay friends and family, so this move was out of character for them,” Jamie said.
“I don’t think either of them are homophobic. That’s not my point. But if you say ‘This is scary,’ then you’re making fun of people like me.”
Evelyn and Duncan rose to fame on the 2023 season of Australia’s top-rated reality show, and although they were “TV married” to different partners, they ended up together.
The stylist also shared private direct messages, which were sent to the couple, and their responses with Daily Mail.
Evelyn shared the snaps on her Instagram Stories alongside images of her and Duncan dining at a luxurious nightspot while wearing extravagant costumes.
“Hey guys, I’m sorry to be annoying, but you asked me about this, so I decided to be mature and tell you how I feel,” Jamie began in his direct message to Duncan and Evelyn.
‘I think this might be a little offensive and tone-deaf to your queer friends!’
“To live in a city like Sydney and be a representation of modern Australians, I think it’s unfortunate that it’s framed as if the scariest thing either of them could imagine was cross-dressing,” Jamie continued.
‘As someone who is non-binary and dresses this way regularly, I think it’s painful for a community that calls this everyday life.
“Sorry to be a downer, I just wanted to be open and honest so you know where I’m coming from.”
Jamie previously dressed up as Joe Exotic for Halloween and said a bottle of P.Diddy baby oil was on his list of possible 2024 costume ideas.
When contacted by Daily Mail, Evelyn maintained that she sees nothing wrong or offensive about her and Duncan’s costume.
Evelyn and Duncan shared a carousel of photos of themselves in costume on Instagram on Thursday.
‘I’m sorry, but having your partner look like you is scary!!!’ she said.
However, Duncan took a more diplomatic approach in his personal response to Jamie.
‘Hi Jamie, I really appreciate you reaching out. “I have always respected your views and your approach to them,” the former AFL player wrote.
“While many Halloween costumes are scary or disturbing, there are many that are not and this is one of them.
‘I think we should always take into account all genders and all people living on this planet.
Celebrity stylist Jamie Azzopardi (pictured) said saying that cross-dressing for Halloween is “the scariest thing you’ve ever done” is “tone-deaf.”
“I would like to think that both Ev and I demonstrated through our actions great support and understanding towards the wider community.”
“I would welcome any discussion if people think I shouldn’t be allowed to dress like my partner or cross-dress if I wish.”
Jamie, known for his outlandish clothing choices and celebrity feuds, said they appreciated the response but were disappointed.
“In my community we often experience a lot of hate simply because of this decision (dressing up or being in drag),” the stylist explained.
“So for many of us (including me), it can be a hard pill to swallow.”
Jamie suffered fierce backlash for arriving at Australian Fashion Week in an elaborate dress, which was attended by a handful of members of her entourage earlier this year.
The stylist added that “there is an element of cultural appropriation in all of this.”
That’s why Jamie said non-binary Australian muso G Flip and his wife Chrishell Stause dressing up as each other for Halloween wasn’t offensive, but this was.
