Married at First Sight’s controversial girlfriend was set to appear on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but the offer was ‘closed’ by Channel Nine

Married At First Sight star Bronte Schofield was in talks to appear on this year’s season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The former MAFS girlfriend, 29, who was paired with Harrison Boon in last year’s series, was offered a “five-figure” sum to appear on the Channel 10 show but was stopped by rival Nine due to to your contractual agreement.

Nine’s strict contract conditions clearly state that cast members cannot appear on any other reality shows for 12 months.

Brontë has been sharing her frustration with other MAFS contestants, especially after Domenica Calarco, who appeared on the show in 2022, ventured into the South African jungle last year.

Sources close to Brontë said the bride is “super angry and pissed off” about the decision.

“She considered going completely rogue and appearing on the show but was worried it wouldn’t be a good look and Channel Nine would pursue her legally,” a source told Daily Mail Australia.

Brontë told Daily Mail Australia that the show was not the only one Nine denied her appearing on.

“They wanted me to do that and Celebrity Amazing Race with my sister Kirra, but that was because of their contract. [with Love Island Australia]’ She explained.

‘There have been some offers for shows that only concerned deadlines and contracts.

“I think the reason (this is just what I heard) was that Domenica just went ahead and did it anyway and didn’t get permission from Nine and they were really angry (apparently).”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
