Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven Says What Eye Color He Hopes His Kids Have

He infamously told his Married At First Sight “bride” Melissa Rawson that he preferred women with blue eyes, despite her own eyes being green.

But Bryce Ruthven has apparently come to terms with his fiancée’s iris color and claims on Instagram that he hopes the couple’s kids have green eyes.

The former radio host replied, “Likewise!” to a fan’s comment that she hopes the couple’s twins will have “beautiful green eyes, just like their mother.”

Another cheeky commentator wrote: ‘What happens if the kids have green eyes???’ to which Bryce replied, “They will be very lucky!”

Bryce left Melissa devastated after saying he likes “blue-eyed blondes” on the most recent season of MAFS.

In brutal scenes that aired in February, Melissa turned to Bryce and asked, “Am I your usual type?”

After a moment’s thought, Bryce replied, “It’s a tough question. I’ll be completely honest. Not 100 percent.

“I’ve always chosen the blond hair, the blue eyes, the tanned kind of girl, and someone who, like, is usually taller.”

Bryce then confessed to his bride that he probably wouldn’t go to a bar to buy her a drink.

A heartbroken Melissa began to cry and wiped the tears from her eyes. It remained a source of intensity for the couple.

“We obviously had a good night there and all and the next morning you weren’t feeling your best,” Bryce recalls on his podcast, What happens next?.

“Yeah, I clearly thought something had been going on for a while and I thought I’d tie the knot, buy a test,” Melissa said.

“I was really worried about being seen buying a pregnancy test. I think that was my biggest concern, not that I was pregnant, but just being seen in the pharmacy.’

Melissa took the test and it came back positive, which the couple were so excited about. The results of the test gave her “+3 weeks” on the test, but neither of them knew she was twins at this stage.

“It was quite a shock, but I definitely felt like I wasn’t feeling quite right,” she explained.
