British viewers of Married at First Sight were moved to tears during the series’ second episode as Ella came out as transgender after marrying husband Nathanial.
Clinical consultant Ella Morgan, 29, spoke about her crippling fear of rejection before walking down the aisle, recalling times when men had turned her down or even wanted their relationship with her a secret after she told them she was trans.
However, on Tuesday, marketing and events manager Nathanial Valentino, 36, delighted fans of the show by accepting Ella as she was without hesitation, before coming out as pansexual, insisting he was falling in love of the person regardless of their gender.
Last week, MailOnline told how the reality series sparked a ‘fake’ row after claims Nathanial didn’t know he was marrying a trans woman.
The network admitted it informed the groom before the televised ceremony, although he was shocked by the revelation shown in Tuesday night’s episode.
