The owner of a Gold Coast business where Married At First Sight star Ellie Dix works has pleaded with furious fans of the show to leave his company alone in the wake of her cheating scandal.
Coastal Clinic plastic surgery practice owner Dr. Drew Cronin revealed a series of trolls left one-star business reviews on Google after Ellie Dix and Jono McCullough confirmed their romance during the show’s finale on Sunday .
The couple’s history has been controversial as Jono, 40, ‘cheated’ on his girlfriend Lauren Dunn, 32, by texting Ellie, 32, behind her back before the couple started A relationship.
Dix has been a subcontractor at The Coastal Clinic for the past 12 months as a cosmetic nurse injector.
Cronin said his business was in no way involved with the reality show scandal and pleaded with angry fans to stop trying to destroy his livelihood.

“Unfortunately, because of some people’s reaction to what one of those subcontractors did six months ago, the 15 employees are being unfairly targeted,” he said. The Gold Coast Newsletter.
“People who have never been patients at our clinic, who have never met me, feel entitled to give permanent one-star reviews for their disagreement with a subcontractor’s actions broadcast on television.”
Cronin said angry fans should consider the possible consequences of their actions and urged them to stop.

“It’s a permanent stain on a company that has otherwise had a stellar track record in something for which it has no responsibility or involvement,” he said.
“These staff are lovely people who probably don’t even watch MAFS and they take on the abuse because they answer the phones.”
As for Dix’s work at the clinic, Cronin said his service was top-notch.
Earlier this week, Ellie and Jono finally went public with their romance.
The couple announced their relationship during the show’s reunion episode on Sunday night.
After denying that they had feelings for each other, they faced the other couples as a couple.
Since the shocking reunion episode aired on Sunday, Cronin’s business has been bombarded with many one-star Google business reviews, and most of them didn’t even leave a written review.
Last month, tensions came to a head on the show when Lauren finally confronted her husband Jono for texting fellow girlfriend Ellie after she left the show.
Lauren’s heart shattered when she discovered her boyfriend was secretly texting Ellie.
In one dramatic episode, Lauren demanded to see Jono’s iPhone, only to discover that he had texted Ellie hundreds of times after she abandoned the experiment.
‘You approached her. It’s not just about conveying information that happened the night before, but it’s more than that. My stomach dropped,” Lauren told Jono.
