Married At First Sight star Dan Hunjas on Thursday revealed the horrifying moment his daughter Keeley was attacked by a kangaroo when she was just a toddler.
The former reality TV star, 43, posted a shocking photo on Instagram of her little boy, now 18, being mauled in the face by the marsupial.
He explained to his followers in a video that he and Keeley “went on a father-daughter adventure to a zoo” when one of the animals latched on and “started shaking her.”
Dan said the kangaroo seemed “friendly and sweet” when they approached him and young Keeley, who he shares with his first wife, Talisha, began petting him.
“I had one of those cameras hanging on a lanyard around my neck, so I literally laid down and went to take the photo,” the businessman began.

‘When I press the button, this kangaroo just says “swipe!” and she grabbed onto my daughter’s face and started shaking her,” she continued.
‘At that moment I dropped the camera, ran into this room and pulled it off my daughter.
Then this thing started attacking me. So now I’m in the fight with this kangaroo and at the same time trying to see if my daughter is okay. ‘

Despite the terror he felt at the time, Dan said everything ended well when he realized his daughter “didn’t have a single mark, which was very lucky.”
“No one was hurt, everyone was fine, we got a cool photo and a funny story and we all lived to fight another day,” he added.
MAFS fans will remember Dan’s tumultuous time on the Channel Nine show last year when he was paired with dental hygienist Sandy Jawanda.

The couple’s relationship was not easy, and Dan admitted that he was not attracted to his wife, but was willing to stay in the experiment to expose himself.
Sandy and Dan, who broke up on the show in March, got married during the season premiere, which aired in late January last year.
Dan then briefly dated his old friend Samantha, who turned heads at the nuptials by wearing an inappropriately risqué dress while sitting with her guests.
When asked about the relationship on Fitzy & Wippa, Sandy said she hadn’t noticed Samantha at the wedding because Dan invited “a lot of girls.”
