Married At First Sight star Rebecca Zemek made the heartbreaking announcement that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with her second child.

The Perth influencer, 31, recently shared a clip on Instagram in which she informed her 99,000 followers that she and her fiancé Ben Michell had lost the baby.

‘I can’t sort out my words and thoughts, so I’ll just write them down. At a routine checkup, I experienced a silent miscarriage in my second trimester,” Beck began.

‘The next moments were surreal. The baby had stopped growing, but my body hadn’t realized it yet. Decisions had to be made. Decisions that no one prepares you for. Decisions that make everything seem painfully real.

Beck then opened up about some of the emotions he had been experiencing since being told the tragic news.

‘The hardest part is that your body is still going. Your belly is still round, your hormones still remind you of pregnancy, and yet you mentally have to accept that life is over.

“I was stuck in limbo. She’s no longer pregnant, but she’s not ready to say goodbye. It is a pain like no other, but what I have realized is that the love I felt for that little life is real, no matter how brief it was.

“We’re just going to try to heal and get through this and move forward.”

She then thanked her family and friends for supporting her during the difficult time, just two weeks after she and Ben hosted a star-studded baby shower in Perth to celebrate her pregnancy.

The event featured a host of reality stars gathering to celebrate the happy news, including Beck’s MAFS co-star Booka Nile and My Kitchen Rules alum Hannah Campbell.

Many of Beck’s friends at MAFS quickly took to the comments section to offer their words of support.

‘Very sorry. Sending you lots of love,” wrote Alisha Aitken-Radburn.

‘I’m so sorry angel. I love you,” Sara Mesa added.

‘I’m so proud of you for talking about this publicly. Your pain is someone else’s healing and we with platforms need to use our voices. I love you and I am very proud to call you my friend. You have this honey,” Lauren Dunn chimed in.

Beck rose to fame on MAFS in 2021, where she was unsuccessfully paired with Jake Edwards.

Their union did not happen after she cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend during filming.

Last month, Beck and her fiancé Ben Michell announced that they were expecting their second child.

The reality TV star and Ben surprised guests with the news at an exclusive event in Perth.

Beck and Ben welcomed their first daughter, Immy, in May 2022.

Shortly after giving birth, she revealed that she wasn’t worried about losing weight after welcoming her first child.

She said during a Q&A on Instagram that new mothers should “stop putting pressure on your body to do more than what it just did.”

Beck then referenced four photos she had posted earlier that day of her postpartum body, one to four weeks after giving birth.

“The photos you saw were photos of my uterus descending, not of me losing weight,” she added.
