Stacey chose to speak out after a report from NW magazine who wrongly claimed she was “looking for a rib removal” operation.
Rib removal is an extreme surgical procedure that makes a person’s waist smaller.
She was particularly concerned that the false information would lead to other people recovering from eating disorders.
“I had an eating disorder when I was younger and I’m still trying to attack. I have to take medication to eat and my weight is still going up and down, “Stacey said. Shown in January
Stacey also discussed her ongoing struggle Hit 107 Adelaide on Tuesday.
“I’ve always had trouble eating and I’ve always been very thin,” she said, adding that “stress and trauma” had contributed to her eating disorder.
“There are many women like this, and they need help and go to a doctor.”
