Of the 41 episodes broadcast in the sixth season of MAFS, 28 episodes were classified as M, while only 13 received the family-friendly PG rating.
According to the existing Australian free-to-air television code of practice, every program has one M assessment must begin after 7.30 p.m. for viewing the evening.

If a viewer believes that a broadcaster has violated part of the commercial TV code of conduct or has displayed incorrectly coded content, he must file a complaint with the broadcaster of the program or the content in question.
The station has 60 days to respond and if the complainant is not satisfied with the answer, they can refer it to ACMA for investigation.
ACMA is an independent government agency that oversees the regulation of broadcasting, radio communication, telecommunications and online content through legislation, regulations, standards and codes of conduct.
