Controversial Married at First Sight couple Ellie Dix and Jono McCullough have finally gone public with their romance.
The couple announced their relationship during the show’s reunion episode on Sunday night.
After denying that they had feelings for each other, they faced the other couples as a couple.
They first traveled to the party together, holding hands in the car on the way and belittling their ex-partners.
“I wish I could do this with you throughout the experiment, but it doesn’t matter,” Jono told Ellie.

‘You had to kiss a toad. I had to kill a dragon,” Ellie replied, laughing.
Arriving at the dinner four weeks after filming wrapped, the couple walked in hand in hand.
The other contestants were stunned, none more so than Jono’s ex-girlfriend, Lauren Dunn.
‘She left me blank. Girl, I didn’t do anything to you. Like… You’ve got my seconds sloppy,’ Lauren said.
‘You can say hello to me. I don’t have any problem with the girl, but now I do, now it’s a problem. She is just rude. So rude.’

Sara Mesa chimed in: “I think Jono is a snake.” The fact that he actually messaged another wife was nothing and then walking hand in hand with Ellie is dumb.
Jono insisted the couple are “very happy”, while Ellie said she felt she had “won Married at First Sight”.
“She has no right to be upset and if she is, I really don’t give a damn,” Jono said of Lauren, before praising Ellie.
“It was worth crawling through hell over broken glass to end up with this beautiful woman,” he said.
The couple were invited to talk about their romance as soon as they sat down to dinner with the group.
“Everyone says I look radiant and I say, ‘Yes!’ It’s not just the tan. It’s Jono,” Ellie boasted.
Online fans were quick to condemn the couple, with many sharing their thoughts on social media site X. But some were on their side.
‘I have been so happy. Yes, it has been incredible. We barely spent a day apart. I would not change anything. Can I have a kiss?’ Jono said before the couple kissed.
Jono explained that he and Ellie had bonded during a six-hour phone call after the end of the experiment.
Other participants noted how hurt Lauren seemed and how “slobbery” and “cocky” Jono acted.
‘Of course, I’m hurt. And they’ve made me feel like I’m this evil bitch who has these walls up, giving this good boy a chance,” Lauren said, through tears.
“They treat me like a cold person all the time because I am reactive and use bad words. That makes me feel bad?

“I have a loud voice and I swear, I’m a bad person, and he just acted like he was a good guy the whole time.” He’s so unfair,’ he sobbed.
Jono and Lauren then came to blows, and a furious Lauren called her ex-boyfriend a “dog.”
“You’re the most unpleasant person I’ve ever met in my life, Lauren,” Jono responded.

‘Oh, Ellie, don’t think you’re the cat who got the cream princess. If Jono did it too Lauren, he’ll eventually do it to you,’ one person said.
‘Jono and Ellie don’t have school! Pathetic,” someone else wrote.
‘I can’t believe Jono and Ellie came to the meeting together and the nasty comments they were making in the car? Grumpy behavior,’ said one more.
‘Honestly, Ellie and Jono are welcome to each other. They could bore each other. They don’t have half the personality between them,’ said another.
Not everyone was against the couple, with one person chiming in: ‘Lauren, you treated Jono like a POS since the wedding. Of course, he ended up with someone who really respected him.

‘Jono and Ellie have a right to be together. It does not present moral or ethical problems. Cries of cheating or betrayal are made-up outrage,” someone else said.
‘BUT… do they need to be so cocky and blatant about it?’ they added.
The couple appeared to be in good spirits as they were spotted on a romantic outing on the Gold Coast after the show finished filming.
Jono, 40, and Ellie, 32, looked as in love as ever in December as they stepped out holding hands to catch up with their co-stars Eden Harper, Tim Calwell and Mike Felix.

Last month, tensions came to a head on the show when Lauren Dunn, 32, finally confronted her husband Jono for texting fellow girlfriend Ellie after she left the show.
Lauren’s heart shattered when she discovered her boyfriend was secretly texting Ellie.
In one dramatic episode, Lauren demanded to see Jono’s iPhone, only to discover that he had texted Ellie hundreds of times after she abandoned the experiment.
‘You approached her. It’s not just about conveying information that happened the night before, but it’s more than that. My stomach dropped,” Lauren told Jono.
Jono eventually admitted that he had been secretly texting Ellie, but attempted to downplay their relationship as simply platonic.
