Broncos stars Adam Reynolds and Patrick Carrigan have been involved in an aggressive altercation after a night out in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley over the weekend.

Footage has emerged of Brisbane’s two high-profile players allegedly involved in a fight hours after the club’s annual fans day, reports courier mail.

Footage posted on social media shows Reynolds engaged in shoving while a female bystander screams.

The woman can be heard shouting: “Let him go…Adam…Pat…stop.”

Another person can be heard repeatedly saying: ‘Reyno.’

It is understood a group of Brisbane players went to MAYA Mexican restaurant and bar in the bustling entertainment district.

Witnesses told News Corp that Carrigan was very drunk, so Reynolds tried to help him out and suggested they take a taxi home.

But things got heated and there was a disagreement that spilled outside.

Other Brisbane Broncos players, including Reece Walsh and Jordan Riki, can also be seen in the footage, while News Corp reported Corey Oates was also present.

The NRL Integrity Unit is ready to investigate the incident. The Broncos have issued a statement regarding the altercation.

“The Broncos are investigating an incident involving some members of their playing group in Brisbane last night,” a club statement read.

“The club was informed of the incident last night and has been speaking to the players throughout the day to clarify the details of what happened.”

News Corp reported that Broncos coach Kevin Walters is furious about the altercation, while Broncos chief executive Dave Donaghy held crisis meetings with Reynolds and Carrigan on Monday and formally reported the incident to the NRL.

Carrigan recently renewed his contract with the club until at least the end of the 2028 season.

The Broncos will leave Australia in 10 days to take part in the NRL season opener against the Sydney Roosters in Las Vegas.

Brisbane president Karl Morris acknowledged the incident and said club leaders will not tolerate inappropriate behavior as the Broncos prepare to showcase the NRL brand in the United States.

“It’s very disappointing,” Morris said.

“We are very close to the start of the season and we have always thought that alcohol is not a performance-enhancing substance.

“They’re young men and I’m not going to make excuses for it… These guys should know better.”

Carrigan was suspended by the club after drinking alcohol while recovering from a knee injury in 2022 which angered coach Walters at the time.

“It’s not acceptable and Pat is okay with that,” Walters said at the time.

“He has acknowledged that and we have dealt with Pat internally.”

However, Morris said it was unlikely the club would leave out any of the players for the blockbuster season opener against the Roosters in Las Vegas.

“I don’t think that (players missing the game in Las Vegas) will happen,” Morris said.

“But I’m sure Dave (Donaghy, Broncos) and ‘Kevvie’ (Coach Walters) will discipline and educate when appropriate.”
