Mark Cuban sparks fury on The View for controversial comments about women around Trump

Women are speaking out after businessman Mark Cuban said there are no strong or intelligent women in Donald Trump's circle.

Mark Cuban has been criticized after declaring that Donald Trump does not surround himself with “intelligent women.”

Even the hosts of ABC’s leftist show The View disagreed with the billionaire and television personality’s comments after they aired on Thursday. The Shark Tank star has also faced a barrage of criticism for his comments.

‘Donald Trump: you never see him surrounded by strong and intelligent women. It’s that simple,’ he said.

‘It’s that simple. They seem intimidating to you. He doesn’t like to be challenged.

Host Joy Behar disagreed with Cuban and said even Stormy Daniels “was smart,” while others were quick to criticize the comments that came just days after Joe Biden. Republicans enraged by calling Trump supporters “trash.”

The Trump campaign is likely to use the comments to promote the narrative that Democrats — and Kamala Harris — despise voters who support the former president and intend to vote for him.

“I must say that I have known you, respected you and loved you for a long time,” sportscaster Sage Steele responded to Cuban with a video posted on X. “What you just said is disrespectful and crosses the line.” .’

Women are speaking out after businessman Mark Cuban said there are no strong or intelligent women in Donald Trump’s circle.

Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said the comments were “extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump and the tens of millions of women who proudly vote for him.”

“Joe Biden called Trump supporters trash, and now Kamala’s top surrogate, Mark Cuban, has insinuated that women who support Trump are ‘weak and stupid,'” she said.

“Kamala Harris must immediately condemn Mark Cuban’s disrespectful insult to women.”

Cuban, co-owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team, is one of Kamala Harris’ most prominent supporters and has been active on the campaign trail.

But Republicans, Trump supporters, campaign workers and even women in general say his comments go too far.

Kellyanne Conway, who was Trump’s senior adviser from 2017 to 2020, told Fox News that Cuban’s comments show how “desperate and worried” Democrats are about the 2024 election.

“They’re not sure they’re supporting a strong, intelligent woman for president,” she said, listing some of the women and mothers who served in the top ranks of the Trump White House.

“I don’t care what desperate people say,” Conway continued. “What I care about is defending the tens of millions of strong, intelligent women who are going to vote for Donald Trump next Tuesday and have already done so.”

“Whether it’s Joe Biden calling us trash or extremists, Hillary calling us deplorables, irredeemables and now Mark Cuban questioning how the women around Donald Trump wouldn’t be strong or smart,” she listed the insults hurled at Republicans.

“They are losing this election because of their elitism and direct insults to the American people.”

Steele’s response was probably the most damning, as the sportscaster lashed out at the man he said he once “respected.”

How about Tulsi Gabbard? Let me ask you about Tulsi, your friend Tulsi, right? Steele said in a video posted on X.

‘At the end of the day, if he hadn’t left the Democratic Party, I bet you would think he was strong and smart. But since he crossed the line, isn’t he?

“The most important thing is that we know each other personally,” he continued, striking a more personal tone: “What about your own daughters?”

‘What if one day they decide to think differently thanks to their politics?’ Steele questioned. ‘Aren’t they strong and unintelligent? What’s that? You talk about not being divisive and look at what you’re doing. Shocking, because I thought I knew who you were.

“And this is just stupid.”

The renowned investor, entrepreneur and television personality has two daughters: Alexis, 21, and Alyssa, 17. He also has a son, Jake. He shares all three with his wife Tiffany Stewart.

Some women posted images of themselves with the former president in protest of Cuban’s comments Thursday. This included Trump 2024 senior advisor Susie Wiles.

‘I’m told that (Mark Cuban) needs help identifying the strong, intelligent women around the president. Triumph. Well, here we are!’ Wiles wrote in X. “I am proud to lead this campaign.”

He also called out other leaders within the Republican Party who support Trump, including his own daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who serves as co-chair of the Republican National Committee.
