Marjorie Taylor Greene was outraged by revelations that the FBI was “prepared to use lethal force” in its raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort and suggested Joe Biden was planning to assassinate him.
A new court filing unsealed Tuesday in the classified Trump documents case revealed that federal agents were prepared to use “deadly force” in carrying out the 2022 raid.
Greene, a devoted Trump ally, reacted furiously to the news, suggesting that President Biden, his Justice Department and the FBI were prepared to kill her predecessor.
“Biden’s Justice Department and FBI were planning to assassinate President Trump and gave the green light,” Greene wrote on Tuesday X. “I made sure he knew.”
Trump apparently got the message, as he raged about the news on his Truth Social account, writing that the ‘illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid’ had ‘AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETAL) FORCE.’

The former president was at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey on August 8, 2022, the day of the raid.
He also sent a fundraising email with the subject line ‘They were authorized to shoot me!’
Greene wondered where the raid permits had stopped: “Were they going to shoot (the Secret Service) and then President Trump, Melania and Barron too?”
She used the news as another feather in her cap to attack Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson.
“President Mike Johnson fully funded the Department of Justice and the FBI, plus a new building, and tied our hands behind our backs by holding them accountable,” he wrote. ‘We have the power of the purse and Johnson has handed it over to Chuck Schumer. “All of this is unforgivable.”
“I tried to overthrow our president who funded Biden’s Justice Department and FBI, but Democrats prevented it.”
He also suggested that FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland should be indicted.

That raid on the former president’s home ended with the FBI seizing hundreds of documents containing classified information.
Trump, 77, is now criminally charged with mishandling top-secret documents taken to his Florida estate after leaving office.
In the former president’s motion challenging the legality of the FBI raid filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the filing points to an “Operation Order” produced in discovery that contained a ” Policy Statement” on the “Use of Deadly Force.” ‘
The filing says the Order states “for example, ‘Department of Justice law enforcement officers may use deadly force when necessary…'”
It also says that “the officers planned to bring “standard weapon(s), “ammunition,” “handcuffs,” and “medium and large bolt cutters,” but were ordered to wear “unmarked polo or collared shirts” and to keep “hidden police equipment.”
The agents began the raid around 9:00 a.m. on August 8, 2022 and remained until approximately 6:40 p.m.
Trump’s legal team has previously argued that the Mar-a-Lago raid was unconstitutional.
The former president pleaded not guilty to 37 criminal charges in the case, some of which carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
Trump is accused of recruiting aides and lawyers to help him conceal records that officials asked him to return.
Documents unsealed Tuesday also revealed that Trump’s lawyers found additional classified documents in the former president’s bedroom months after the August raid.
The revelation was detailed in an unclassified opinion by Judge Beryl Howell in March 2023, where she found that prosecutors presented sufficient evidence that Trump mishandled classified documents.
The opinion states that even after the raid, more classified documents were discovered in November 2022 in a rented storage unit, in Mar-a-Lago’s office in December 2022, and “apparently some time later in the Mar-a-Lago’s own bedroom.” former president in Mar-a-Lago.’
The judge wrote below: “In particular, no excuse is provided for how the former president could have lost the classified documents found in his own room at Mar-a-Lago.”
Earlier this month, Trump-appointed District Judge Aileen Cannon indefinitely postponed the trial over classified documents.
He cited a number of outstanding issues before the trial that must be resolved.
