Marjorie Taylor Greene reiterated her claims that the Democratic Party is “full of pedophiles” and insisted that President Joe Biden has a “pedophile” agenda.
when 60 Minutes CBS Reporter Leslie Stahl questioned the Georgia representative about her past “above” the allegations, and Green, 48, defended and reiterated her assertions.
Contributing to her claims of intensifying pedophilia, she said, is the push by progressives and Democrats to legalize health care and surgeries for minors.
“I will always fight to protect the children!” The Georgia Republican tweeted a clip from the interview, which aired Sunday.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) reiterated allegations that there are “pedophiles” infiltrating the Democratic Party and that President Joe Biden is “pedophile.”
The congressman, who is frequently referred to by her initials MTG, is a staunch Trump supporter who has been accused of pushing QAnon conspiracy theories — including that Democrats run an underground sex-trafficking ring and that a powerful Jewish family used alien lasers to start wildfires in California.
Some of her comments about school shootings led to her losing her committee positions when Democrats still controlled the House, but she won back seats at the table when Republicans won a majority in the 2022 midterm elections and Kevin McCarthy became Speaker of the House.
When asked during her wide-ranging interview with 60 Minutes about her claim that “Democrats are a party of pedophiles,” MTG replied, “I would definitely say that. They support child welfare.
“The Democrats support – even Joe Biden, the president himself, supports pedophilia and transgender surgeries,” she continued. “Sexualizing children is what pedophiles do.”
MTG has previously confirmed a number of wild claims, including the QAnon conspiracy that “America is run by pedophiles and Satanists who run a global child sex trafficking operation and that former President Trump is the only person who can stop them.”

MTG, the Trump stalwart, sat down with CBS correspondent Leslie Stahl for an interview on 60 Minutes, which aired Sunday.
In a January interview, Green told Fox News that she “got sucked into some of the stuff I’ve seen on the Internet,” when explaining why she made some of the claims she had previously made.
“But that was dealt with quickly early on,” she added at the time. I have never campaigned on these things. This was not something I believed in. This is not what I ran for Congress for. So those are so far in the past.
MTG also linked the Democrats to the Nazis and pushed the distorted Pizzagate conspiracy that the Democratic officials were connected to human trafficking and a child sex ring.
The Georgian lawmaker used the 60 Minutes interview to speak out on a number of issues, including her opposition to sending arms and financial aid to Ukraine in light of Russia’s invasion.
“What I voted against is financing a war in Ukraine,” she said. “All the time I’ve been saying the United States should push for peace in Ukraine, not fund a proxy war with Russia.”
The line is shared by China. Russia also publicly supported the start of peace talks.
Russia demands unacceptable concessions to Ukraine, including sovereignty over Crimea – a region of geopolitical importance to both sides that was awarded to Ukraine in 1954 when it was a constituent republic of the USSR.

Taylor Greene separately echoed her earlier comments that “good guys with guns” are needed to stop school shootings.

She wrote, “Children and school staff should always be protected in the same way as politicians, money, gems, and gold, but more than that, by armed good guys.”
“Joe Biden’s gun-free school zones have endangered children in schools making them innocent targets for terrified, disturbed patients since he served as a senator to pass this foolish law,” she added.
The Republican claimed two days ago that “the Democrats want a civil war” in response to Trump’s indictment.
She said the party wanted “to get us to fight back so they can use their armed government to lock us all up”.
Notably, MTG recently called for a “national divorce,” dividing the country into red and blue states.
On Twitter, a number of counter-voices criticized the MTG platform itself.
Vanity Fair journalist Molly Jung Fast books: “Lift a pickup truck because that was so good last time.”
“Don’t get me wrong: I respect Leslie Stahl, but that interview… was really awful,” Victor Shea podcaster wrote. Little non-recoil. I let MTG get away with lie after lie.
“They (the Democratic Party) are not pedophiles,” Stahl says in the interview. why would you say that?’
When MTG responds, she says, “Wow. Yeah.” Before moving on to a question about naming names.
