Marjorie Taylor Greene accuses companies that ban unvaccinated people of segregation

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene accused an Atlanta gastropub of “segregation” after announcing it would only provide personal service to people who have been vaccinated.

The pub announced the policy amid a spike in coronavirus cases – including after experiencing ‘a few positive cases’ amid the spike in the highly permeable Delta variant.

The Georgian Republican, who was kicked out of her House committee duties over previous comments about 9/11 conspiracy theories, Accusing Nancy Pelosi of treason and blaming lasers from space for California wildfires, compared the bar’s policy to racial segregation in a Sunday post.

The legislator asked her more than 400,000 followers in a post: ‘Are you going to test everyone at the door for flu, strep throat, stomach flu, colds, meningitis, AIDS, venereal diseases, Hep A, Hep C, staff? [sic] infections, athlete’s foot, pink eye, croup, bronchitis, ringworm, scabies or other infections?’

Located in a city with a prominent role in the civil rights movement, the pub does not shy away from politics and posts ‘Cuisine for a Cause’ and other events.

On July 17, it wrote on its Facebook page: ‘Unfortunately, we had some positive covid tests this weekend and will temporarily suspend all indoor meals. Terrace will be open next to pickup and delivery. Thank you for your continued support. This sucks.’

Then the East Atlanta Village establishment put up the “NO VAX, NO SERVICE” sign on the front door.

The move came amid bitter conflict across the country over mask mandates and lawsuits over private companies imposing mandates on clients.
