Mariah Carey wishes her fans happy Hanukkah as she serenades her twin children Moroccan and Monroe with a song she learned in grade school


Mariah Carey wished her fans happy Hanukkah with a video shared on her Twitter account on Sunday.

In the clip, the 52-year-old hitmaker was seen serenading her twins Moroccan and Monroe, both ten years old, with a song intended to commemorate the first night of the annual holiday.

The artist also wrote a short message that read: ‘Happy Hanukkah!!!! I learned this in grade school, thought I’d teach it Roc & Roe, I don’t think they have it anymore.’

Carey kept it classy in a black wide-neck sweater as she spent time with her son and daughter.

Notably, the hitmaker wore a sparkly pair of earrings as she serenaded her kids.

She held a pair of tinted sunglasses over her forehead and tied her gorgeous blond locks into a long braid that fell to her chest.

Carey shares Moroccan and Monroe with her former husband, Nick Cannon.

Before getting involved with the media personality, the singer was married to her first husband, Tommy Mottola, whom she met while working on her debut studio album.

The two tied the knot in 1993, though they eventually split in 1997 and finalized their divorce in 1998.

She later began dating singer Luis Miguel, from whom she broke up in 2001.

Carey met 41-year-old Cannon while shooting the music video for her 2008 song Bye Bye.

The two started a relationship and got married in April of the same year.

The former couple waited three years before welcoming their children into their lives.

Cannon eventually confirmed that he and the singer broke up in August 2014 and their divorce was finalized in 2016.

Carey spoke about co-parenting with her ex-husband during an interview with Vulture, where she emphasized that she wanted her children to have healthy relationships with both of their parents.

“They know I’m here for them. They know that if they want to talk to their father, he is only one phone call away,” she said.

The performer also noted that she raised her children to be confident and able to behave in ways she didn’t in her youth.

“They have stability. That’s what I didn’t have… They have a lot of self-esteem and self-esteem that I never had,” she stated.
