Margot Robbie was cast opposite Christian Bale in David O. Russell’s next dramatic feature … while Birds of Prey lacks the cash register

She has been nominated for two Oscars, including one best supporting actress nodding to last Sunday’s prizes, and she is already one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood.

And Margot Robbie adds another role to her list of upcoming projects, a dramatic feature from Silver Linings Playbook author David O. Russell.

The film, which will not be awarded a title, will also include Oscar winner Christian Bale, who recently appeared in the Academy Award-winning feature film Ford v Ferrari.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Russell is going to write and direct the new film from an original idea, but plot details remain hidden.

Russell, who was nominated for five Oscars between Playbook in 2012, 2013 American Hustle and The Fighter from 2010, last helped the Jennifer Lawrence feature Joy in 2015.

According to the IMDb pages of both Russell and Bale, they are already set to work on a project with the title Amsterdam, but it is not yet confirmed whether Robbie, 29, is participating in that project or another project.

David famously directed Christian in his Oscar-winning role in the Fighter, who also earned supporting actress Melissa Leo in 2011.
