The veteran presenter, 79, recently appeared on ABC comedy show The Weekly with Charlie Pickering and criticized the Todd Woodbridge-hosted series.

“A show dares to elevate the genre, tempting fate and fortune amid the spectacle of a larger than life arcade game,” Margaret began.

Tipping Point is a quiz show where contestants answer general knowledge questions to earn points that can then be used to earn “counters” by knocking down plates on an oversized arcade machine.

Pomeranz continued to criticize the show for being lowest common denominator entertainment.

Margaret continued to criticize the ease of the questions, stating that a seven-year-old would know the answer.

“The hardest part was training the mule to kick the contestants in the head before the show,” he said.

Summing up the show, he added: “Todd Woodbridge presents a case study of madness as he is convinced he can communicate with the machine. Someone get me some paint thinner. I’m glued to the seat.

In August, Channel Nine announced that Australian tennis star Todd Woodbridge, 53, would appear on a game show to replace long-running show Millionaire Hot Seat.

The host of the series, Todd, is one of the most successful doubles players in history and has won at Wimbledon multiple times.

Tipping Point sees three players battle it out against a machine with prizes and a jackpot up for grabs.

Fans were shocked last year when it was revealed that Millionaire Hot Seat had been eliminated.

The show, hosted by Eddie McGuire, went on hiatus at the end of January.

“It is with great pride, joy and also sadness that I announce this morning that Millionaire Hot Seat will be going on hiatus at the end of January next year,” Eddie said on 3AW.
