Maren Morris has a new, much younger boyfriend.
He confirmed it on Monday People that the The Middle hitmaker is dating Perfect Match star Justin Assada, 27.
On August 28, she shared a photo with Morris in which they appeared to be on a date.
“Horror movies + sushi,” Assada captioned the Instagram story.
This comes after the 34-year-old singer came out as bisexual in June. Prior to that, she split from husband Ryan Hurd in October 2023.

She told the outlet that her preschool-aged son “has definitely helped me get through a lot of this year” and praised him for being a source of love during difficult times.
“Whether he knows it or not,” the doting mother added, “I doubt he knows, but I just want to be a good mother to him.”
And traveling around the county together for their RSVP Redux tour has only strengthened their bond, making them feel like “partners in crime.”
“She loves to travel, which has been really fun this summer, having Hayes on tour. I don’t know, we feel like partners in crime a bit and we’re going to be on this bus ride forever,” she enthused.
“It makes me so happy when he comes out and the fact that he loves it here,” the Chasing After You singer added.
The Arlington, Texas, native also spoke candidly about how Hayes, whose face is not shown on social media for safety reasons, is processing divorce at her age.
“I feel like there are a lot of emotions when you have a child with someone and the relationship doesn’t work out and you just have to put on a brave face and be consistent with your baby,” she admitted.
“I think he’s been through a lot and I’m sure there’s a lot of confusion because he’s so young,” she says. “But I also feel like Ryan and I have done a great job of being great parents to him.”

The Grammy winner then shared that her son has been her muse and has played a role in inspiring her latest songs.
She revealed that her hit Because, Of Course is a “love letter” to little Hayes, saying: “I wrote it about him.”
“Obviously I promised her something like that: all love like that, especially that of a mother, should be unconditional, but I like that when people hear the song, it can be interpreted as a romantic song, but I didn’t write it about that. It’s just about love itself,” he concluded.

Maren and Chasing After You singer Ryan Hurd tied the knot in 2018 before splitting in October 2023 and officially divorcing in late January of this year.
They welcomed Hayes on March 23, 2020, and share joint custody of him following their split.
Maren came out as bisexual in early June via Instagram, writing: ‘Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+, happy pride!’
