Marcus Rashford may be the BEST player in the WORLD ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle… the striker is a ‘level above everyone else’ at the moment, insists Kris Boyd

- Rashford’s 24 goals are the most the striker has scored in a single season in his career
- United hope their form forward is fit enough for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final
According to former Scotland striker Kris Boyd, Marcus Rashford is arguably the best player in the world right now.
Rashford is enjoying his most prolific season in front of goal, scoring 24 times this season, 14 of them in the Premier League.
No player has scored more goals since domestic football resumed after the World Cup, and his goals helped Man Utd reach the next round of the Europa League, beat Barcelona and threaten the top two in the Premier League title race.
Its sparkling form has seen Sky Sports pundit Boyd argues that there is no better player in world football at the moment than Man Utd’s number 10.
“You could see there were talented footballers at the club, which wasn’t going to happen for them and I think Marcus Rashford might fall into that trap.” said Boyd Football Saturday.

“But I’ll tell you something, he’s arguably the best player in the world right now. He has been unstoppable.
The goals he’s scored, the assists, the way he’s been running his business since Ronaldo left have shown why Erik ten Hag and the rest of the Man Utd team were so desperate to get Cristiano Ronaldo out – because it’s not like they’ve looked back.
He is a level above everyone else at the moment and they will need him to be fit.”
United are sweating on the fitness of their forward in form ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final after Rashford looked injured in the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Barcelona on Thursday evening.
Rashford went down in the first half with what appeared to be a knock, but continued after treatment and returned for the second half.
He was substituted with two minutes of the game remaining in what appeared to be a routine substitution by Erik ten Hag, but footage showed the Dutchman asking how Rashford was feeling just before leaving the field.

The England star then shared an image to Instagram of himself walking down the sidelines with a bandage emoji accompanying the post.
United go to the final at Wembley against Newcastle on Sunday, have not knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League and are third in the Premier League, and Boyd believes there is a lot for the club to look forward to.
Boyd added: “There’s definitely a good feeling about Manchester United being back. If you look at the run they’ve been on, it’s been excellent.
I think even to fall behind Barcelona and come back, as they did on Thursday night – I thought they were excellent.’
