Marcus Rashford appears as the face of January in Manchester United’s official 2025 calendar, despite being linked with a departure from the club.

After a dismal campaign under Erik ten Hag last season, the arrival of Ruben Amorim appeared to offer the 27-year-old a chance at a new life at Old Trafford.

In Amorim’s first Premier League game at the club, Rashford scored an early goal in a draw with Ipswich before following up with a brace in a dominant 4-0 win over Everton last month.

However, since then, Rashford has found his playing time increasingly limited and was benched for defeats against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

Both Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were left out of the squad for United’s derby against Manchester City.

The Argentine has since returned to Amorim’s plans, but there has been no such return for Rashford as he was left out against Spurs in the EFL Cup and against Bournemouth in the league on Saturday.

The omission sparked speculation that the striker could continue his career away from his boyhood club, and Rashford added fuel to the fire by revealing last week that he is “ready for a new challenge” in an explosive interview.

However, despite the links, Rashford still features in the recently released calendar, alongside the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes.

A source said the sun: ‘He may not be here after the transfer window opens in just over a week. At least it’s the face of January; It’s likely he won’t be around much longer.

Earlier this week, Amorim questioned the “choices” of people in the England international’s entourage.

“It’s a difficult situation,” Amorim said.

“I understand that these players have a lot of people around them and sometimes they make decisions that are not the player’s first idea. I understand that, I can separate things.

‘I’m always here to help Marcus, like any other player. They have to do what they have to do. They chose to do the interview because it’s not just about Marcus. I understand that.’
